A short hike uphill brings you to a beautiful tent site looking out over the north/south canyon with plenty of sunshine during the daylight hours, and a moonlit evening with softly hooting owls and distant coyotes. Pitch your tent in the pine and fir forest for a relaxing vacation in Nature. A couple of hammocks invite a nap, or conversation. What’s a camp out without a fire? You have a fire ring, grate, and complimentary bundle of wood, hotdog forks, and a water hose to make the evening uneventfully perfect. In keeping with our permaculture practices, a sawdust toilet is available in the Far Out House, and pure water is onsite. Bringing bottled water is unnecessary. We have a “pack it in pack it out” policy as well as “leave no trace.” Your hosts, however, will take care of the toilet.
