Rural Farmstead Camping
I booked this camp site the morning of our departure as soon as my 7 year old agreed to try camping in a tent. We (my 4 and 7 yo and I)heard back within an hour. We met Jenny and Kevin, who were very welcoming and showed us around their small farm. Jenny gave us directions to the nearest beach where we swam in a shallow sandy bay while the was setting. We then used the camp’s outdoor shower and went just down the road to the tap room for a late dinner. We got to sleep under a sky full of stars and echoes of goats bleating across the field. We awoke briefly to a an explosion? Somewhere in the distance, then again to the hoots of a wise old owl. Morning in he pnw comes fast, even faster with roosters to let you know about it. At this point some noise cancelling headphones or ear plugs (my only recommendation if you need to
Sleep in) could have kept the dreams rolling, but it was perfect because we stopped in at Whidbey doughnuts for breakfast and made the early Ferry back to the mainland. Would love to visit again! Thanks!

Vintage Trailer Glamping
This place is so dreamy and wonderful! It's a great location with close access to many sweet places on the island. Don't miss the farmers market! The outdoor shower was magical and the compost toilet is one of the most pleasant I have seen! All so so good!
The only thing, it's a bit closer to the road than it seems in the photos, so if you want something deeper in the woods, this isn't exactly that, but the property is wonderful, the goats are so so so cute! And there is a very friendly cat that loves pets and cuddles and likes to play. It was a really cozy wonderful time.

Rural Farmstead Camping
This was our first Hipcamp experience and it was so much better than we could have thought! Jenny and Kevin's property is beautiful and is in the perfect location (walking distance to a few restaurants, a taproom, and a winery and biking distance to lakes, Langley, and more). They go out of their way to make your camping experience as comfortable as possible, providing a solar shower, water, and even a camping stove. We'd recommend this site for anyone who wants to explore south Whidbey.

Rural Farmstead Camping
Kevin was great. Helpful and easy to communicate with. We never used the composting toilets, there were other people camped right there. We used the coffee shop down the street instead. The solar shower worked fine.
