Great spot right on the river. Easy to access and plenty of space. Cabin was small with a small futon but functional. No heat in the cabin. Fire pit area was large and great!

Beautiful spot to spend the night and was absolutely private the night we were there, but there are houses too which just happened to be empty. Pin drop on google maps about 4 miles further down the road than the actual turnoff as in the written directions. Also the latrine was locked the night we were there. So peaceful to listen to the river all night with the stars above! Would definitely stay here again.

So cool to stay right on the river's edge. The cabin provides some lovely basics and it was great to have a roof on a night that was forecast for rain.

My wife and I loved our stay here. The cabin was bigger than we expected and the views from the deck did not disappoint. There was a portapotty on site that was extremely clean and a nice hike behind the property that followed a canal. The biggest downside for me were the bee’s. When we tried cooking our breakfast they swarmed us and would follow us everywhere. We didn’t have that issue at night, but beware if you are staying and planning on cooking outside. My favorite part of our stay was sitting on the deck with a beer in hand watching all of the rafters going by. We hope to come back again and do some rafting next year!

We stayed in this charming cabin on Christmas Eve. The scenery was picturesque, a beautiful snowy landscape with mountains and river. The cabin was easy to find because of the impressive Totem Pole. The fire pit was a nice addition to the property and the owner provided plenty of wood for us to burn. This was a quaint cabin right on the river. You can’t beat listening to the sound of the river as you fall asleep and wake up. The cabin is completely insulated and we stayed plenty warm for the night. One of our favorite parts of the property is the stunning views from the deck overlooking the river. The cabin and property provided plenty of space for two minimalistic people and a dog.

The cabin provides a fold out futon, TV, and DVD player. The bathroom in the cabin was a small, portable unit which the owner says he plans to upgrade soon. That would be my only area of improvement. I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a nice spot to relax and unwind, while listening to the sounds of nature.

Beautiful little cabin on the river can’t beat the views! Danny was really nice and accommodating. Right next to his family’s summer cabin so you feel safe. We tried to fit 4 adults so it was a little tight, but we expected that! Also very nice neighbors while still feeling like you have your own space. No lock on the door but felt safe in the area, I am from a city so that was foreign to me! Appreciated how there was fire wood and an axe, that was super helpful! Also loved the little back grass area for privacy. Overall the cabin was made super well and insulated nicely. Also very clean and the tv and DVD player were a nice surprise for a rainy night.

This little bunk (i emphasize little), is a cute little gem on the river. The patio makes this spot great. You could potentially hike right your door or rock climb if you would like, but we chose a few trails we had a short drive to. The area was quiet and very peaceful, we highly enjoyed grilling and sitting on the patio with our dogs. You are right next to the main house so I am not sure if they had company if that would make hinder your stay.

The bunkhouse: Is small, very clean, pest-free and has a futon. The futon is not comfortable I would pack a mattress or your typical sleeping pads to help, and it barely fit 2 less than 6ft tall people. If you were to sleep 4, you would have to sleep 2 cramped on the floor or pitch a tent on the little grass patch behind the bunkhouse. The grass patch is fenced in for additional privacy which we enjoyed. The bunkhouse is cozy and kept us dry and warm at night. It housed 2 adults, 2 dogs, our gear, cooler and snacks just fine. The bunkhouse even has outlets! Woo on that! There is a tv and DVD player, I would recommend bringing some of your own DVDs to watch at night.

We, however, did not get any interaction at all with the host Danny.... sad to miss out on his exceptional hosting as listed by others. This slightly left us a little unprepared, but we were only there 2 nights so we survived. However, we were expecting some type of communication, his parents (the property owners) did show up for the weekend, possible surprised to see us... but they are very nice, quiet and adorable couple with a friendly dog tippy. They had a few recommendations were helpful on hiking and rattlesnakes.

Supplies : there is no kitchen supplies outside of a camp stove and some supplies for a coffee pot (no pot listed), some plastic silverware, few napkins, garbage bag and wipes to disinfect the small counter/shelves inside. So bring anything and everything you need for cooking besides the stove. Bring in your own water as mentioned, porta potty was close by and very clean, but bring your own hand sanitizer.

Directions: I would map to the Trout Lodge and follow Host directions from there. The Trout Lodge is a little diner/motel directly next to the bridge you need to cross to get to the bunkhouse. Our google pin address provided from the host directions bought maybe 2 miles prior to the lodge which caused us to take a turn down a very unforgiving cliff side dirt road.... not fun and no cell service for help. but we figured it out...

I was 100% pleased with my stay at the bunk house this last weekend. It was a great last minute adventure.
Pros:
*Private, although there are houses around they are vacation homes and were not being used during my stay
*Safe, if you aren't looking for the bridge to the property you probably wouldn't even notice it as it's right next to the Trout Lodge off of their parking lot, the bunk is on private property and there's one way in and out. I felt completely safe throughout my stay
*Bunk was just what I needed for a quick weekend to the East side, nothing fancy but clean and secure. Coffee pot, TV & DVD player ready to use. BRING BLANKETS AND PILLOWS-there are none there for use.
*Two wood fire pits, a propane fire pit on-site and grill on-site
*Porta potty was spotless!
*Right next to Trout Lodge which is a restaurant/grocer so if you don't want to mess with packing and cooking you can easily just eat there.

Cons:
*Very windy, it cuts the heat of the day but grilling and playing games outside are a little difficult and it does get chilly quickly after sunset
*No river bank, there is a little hill/trail that leads to the river from the bunk but once down it you are right on the river, not ideal for small children

**The GPS coordinates take you to a trail about 3mi before the bunk house, if you type in Trout Lodge you'll be far better off.

THANK YOU DANNY!
