Curley creek canyon is definitely one of a kind place ! It is not a
Camping, it is not a small spot Under the trees, it’s not a forest or a small creek , it’s pretty much all of it if you are willing to explore this huge space.
Definitely a PNW place like no other, it’s almost like if you could rent a small forest. Jerrett’s place is really big, so big you’ll have plenty of choices to pitch a tent under giant trees , multiple
Fire pit options and a dry toilet .
We camped with our van, so we parked it next to the entrance where a spacious shaded flat and clean space could
Hold 2 or 3 vans like ours . Jerrett brought us a portable chimney so we could make a fire right in front of our spot , but there was 3 other fire pit available around the property and Jerrett (that lives on site ) actually started a fire for our arrival !
If you have a tent , the domain is wild
Open and the place is quiet and wild - many birds, chipmunks and wildlife awaits .

There is also a creek, where you can spend some times on a relaxing small “beach” deep into the wood, but this comes as a reward since you have to go down a steep path to get there , there is a chord to secure your descent or to help you climb back, but be careful - this will not be accessible to everybody, but after all , this place is about discovery and wildness and this quiet water spot is an awesome “reward” .
Speaking of discovery -Jerrett was an amazing host that teaches us (me and my kids)so much about the forest, the edible plants , some medicinal properties and the story about the place . You will definitely learn something after spending some times there . Oh yeah, there is also a giant swing there where my kid spend almost an entire morning .
Overall I would definitely recommend this spot, and I hope that whoever will spend a night there will be ready to explore and go down some steep hills to discover what the place has to offer . Or just pitch your tent next to one of the amazing fire pit and relax Under the trees !

More secret spot to discover- take your boots and be adventurous The super cool swingSo greenSuch a unique spot at night !

Our family had a blast on Jerrett’s property, learning about mycological wonders and the history of the property. A wonderful space for families with kids!

Had a lovely time at Jeretts spot. He was a very welcoming host. The area was large enough for our 4 person tent and we were able to set up a hammock as well. Good way to get out of the city!

My partner and I were looking for a place that felt secluded, in the woods, with lots to do on the property, and a short drive away (~1 hr from Seattle). We found it all in Jerrett's place! We were lucky to have the camping area to ourselves (there is space for multiple campers but no one else had booked for the weekend). There are several great tent sites and multiple fire pit areas. We spent the weekend cooking over the open fire (Jerrett provided all the grates which was awesome!), splashing in the creek and listening to the birds. The creek is a very short hike from the sites, though it is steep and probably not good for children. Our dog handled it no problem. The creek is private, clean, and cool, and Jerrett set up a hammock down there which we also used. Totally worth the short hike. This place was also the perfect setup for our dog to run around! Jerrett was so laid back about letting our dog run and roam the property off-leash. We would definitely stay here again. Loved the feeling of being lost in the woods, surrounded by endless edible berries, herbs, and plants.

We really enjoyed our weekend here! The forest setting perched above the creek is lovely, and we spent hours soaking up the energy of the place while exploring the creek and the property (be sure to bring hiking shoes and ask about all of the edible berries). Relax in the hammock at the viewpoint and bring one of your own for a tandem experience (there's room for two)! Jerrett was a very welcoming host and went above and beyond to make our time here special. The facilities are well-maintained, and the setting is reasonably private. We were in the sunny site closest to the entrance and could occasionally hear neighbors of the property, but that also made it very easy to pack our gear in and out. The other site seemed more secluded, everything is spaced out nicely, and we were barely aware of the other campers. Jerrett's place would also be a great spot for a couple of groups to camp, with a nice communal fire pit area for hanging out together.

The hammock is a great spot to be still & listen to the forest Curley Creek CanyonOur campsite

Jerret’s campsite was fantastic. My buddy and I really enjoyed our time here. It was peaceful, serene, but accessible. Some of the other campers had created some issues by going over their capacity limits, but Jerrett handled it well and made sure we had a great time. We’ll definitely be back.

We loved staying here - because of Covid, we had the whole place to ourselves and so it was extremely private. We had wonderful campfires - (I totally recommend purchasing wood from Jerrett as it's right there and you'll want a campfire because the circles are so wonderful.)

Jerrett was a great host - friendly, helpful and not at all intrusive of our family space. It's a steep hike down to the creek but he has it fixed so it's totally doable and the kids had a great time floating and playing in the water. We also went kayaking out of the Manchester boat launch. All in all a fun time away.

We had a wonderful time. Jerrett's site was a little crowded, so he offered us an overflow spot with an amazing view and access to water and a wood fire hot tub. We got to see deer and see awesome water wildlife. It was very relaxing and enjoyable, and would definitely stay with Jerrett again.
