Lots of bears there and hikes to waterfalls. No hunting there.

Orv was an amazing host who opened up his home for my fiancée and I! He took us sight seeing around the property and properties near his home, and he was very knowledgeable in botany and birds and other animals! If you want to learn a tremendous amount about wildlife around Harrisonburg, VA and other areas he's been to, while simultaneously staying on a beautiful bluff, book his mushroom farm!

A cozy camping spot with beautiful views. Orv was an excellent host, too. So kind and generous. And the mushrooms are delicious!

Orv was great host. Showed me around the place. Nice to have a house adjacent for shower and bathroom. Nice spot to pitch a tent under some pine trees. Soft base of pine needles.

On my way from Georgia Mts to Philly I decided to try my first Hip camp. Orv was extrememly helpful in helping me to get a level spot for my small pop up camper. Offered the use of the kitchen and shower facilities. Beautiful views of the surrounding Mts, So much nicer than staying at a KOA. I did not have time to visit the many activities in the local area. I would definitely recommend his property.

Orv's campsite at the mushroom was super convenient to stay at for a quick trip to Harrisonburg. There's ample room for a tent, a firepit, and easy access to a clean bathroom inside the house steps. Orv is a great host and very communicative, Would definitely recommend!

Great first-time hipcamp experience! Orv was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. His mushroom farm was cool to see and learn about, and the view of the mountains is lovely from the property!

I had a nice time staying at Orv's place. His property is very interesting. The campsite was nice. The ground is soft so it's easy to sleep on and there are some pine trees that provide some nice additional cover. The house and bathroom, which I had access to, were very clean and well maintained. Orv was very nice. He was very prompt in communication, which liked, and he was very accommodating during my stay. He also showed me his mushroom farm, which was cool. I hope to stop by there again some day soon.

Orv was an excellent host and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and pleasant. Thanks Orv for your hospitality! We were able to use the bathroom located in the host’s house. Definitely a big plus. Overall, we had a pleasant stay.
