Nestled right beside the Murrundini River, all 3 campsites are beside the river, and well spaced apart for privacy and peace. Campsite 2 (site two) is shady, surrounded by tall swamp gums, black wood wattles and tree ferns. This spot is at its best from late spring through to autumn . Site One is a large flat area beside the river that is good all year round. It has fencing and gates, perfect to let dogs run free without going too far. Site 3 (Craig's flat), is a large open campsite, able to take more camper-vans/ tents with plenty of space. All sites have fire places. And there are plenty of fish for those that want to try their luck. The original home stead (built in 1876) burnt down in the 2009 black Saturday fires. There still remains many 150+ year old elms and other European trees near the toilet block, which are delightful in autumn. We have some fantastic views from the hill up and down the Murundindi Valley, especially at sunset. We're located only a few short km's from Wilhelmina Falls and Murundindi Scenic Reserve, you get the best part of the river, without the crowds. We are a short drive from Melbourne, and easy access to the townships of Yea and Yarra Glen for supplies if you need them. Amazing, abundant & rare bird life to enjoy and photograph. Site 1 (River side )

Quite and peaceful place to stay on the banks of the river. The property has been set up really well with great signage and amenities. Little touches with the bbq provided and fire pit with cooking facilities make a difference. Access was good into the site and lots a grassy space to spread out. Heaps to see on the property with a beautiful outlook from the top of the hill. Great spot to stay and relax for a few days. Thanks for having us Mick, we had a great stay!!

Site 2 (the fern glade)

Campsite no. 2 is amazing. Everything was as described. The bird life was beautiful. Toilet well maintained. Despite the rain, we had a fantastic time. Thanks Michael. Even with other campers at other sites on the property, everything felt incredibly private and serene.

Site 1 (River side )

Great spot near the river site 1 is huge but a very long way from the toilet 330 metres. We loved this trip as did our dog, unfortunately the previous guests had left the bbq dirty but we cooked over the fire and had some great meals anyway. Would definitely recommend

Highly recommend

We camped at site #2. Beautiful, secluded spot right by a flowing stream. Other two sites had campers there but the sites so far away from each other that we didn't hear a peep. The flushing toilet had everything one would need, including a tap and basin. Drinking water was also available near site #1. We also had a visit from one of the resident cows but he was too busy munching on the grass at the edge of the site and didn't bother us at all. Loved our camping here and will be back in future.

Site 2 (the fern glade)

We loved this peaceful spot right next to the river on Michael’s property. The road in is well signposted and we arrived quite late so the notices were welcome to point us in the right direction. Very secluded and beautiful- the kids had great fun along with our dog. Will definitely return to visit - some good 4WD tracks within very easy reach.

A lovely site. Right next to the creek, so the kids were in and out of the water all weekend.
