If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
It was fine to stay for a night but if it were a more established campsite, it would have been a little more accessible and easier to stay at. We were told there would be a tiny house for us to stay in, so we didn’t bring extra sleeping bags. Upon arrival, we were told that the house had fallen over during transit, and were offered only a tent. Granted, our group is extremely flexible and Todd was very apologetic, but we wish we were better prepared! It got cold at night and we just weren’t prepared to stay in a tent.
This place is excellent! Todd was SUPER friendly and made the stay 10x better! We arrived on the last day of harvest, and he explained the whole process to us (which was super interesting). There were 3 options of where we could set up our camp, and all of them sounded amazing, and the spot we picked was perfection. The outhouse is great, there's potable water, and Todd said we could use as much firewood as needed. Overall, I highly recommend staying here. **Side note, the proximity of the farm to Hill Farmstead is walkable - so also a big perk.
We stayed on Todd's property with our dog Violet for one night and it was awesome. Todd was SO nice and welcoming and gave us some great tips on what to check out in town the next morning. The property is beautiful and the cell signal is terrible (which we loved!). We would highly recommend a stay at Thornhill Farm with Todd and his awesome farm space, should we find ourselves in the area again we would definitely book a longer stay :)
I had a great time helping Todd out with the pigs. The tiny house was clean and peaceful. If your looking for quite vacation close to the best beer and cheese, this place is for you.
My partner and I had a lovely stay at Thornhill farm. Todd was very accommodating, he set us up in a mud free field to make sure we wouldn't get our car stuck. The location is beautiful, we enjoyed the sunset and left feeling refreshed! Thank you Todd!!
Had a great stay at Thornhill Farms! Beautiful location, Todd was a welcoming and friendly host. Site met expectations as described, and Todd offered access to limited amenities like water. This fit well for us, as we were on a biking trip and were "self supported".
Our host, Todd, was very accommodating and informative about organic farming in Vermont. There are no longer pigs on the farm; his passion is focused on elderberries as well as rye and barley for craft distillery use. There were beautiful Green Mountain views and interesting wildlife in the surrounding fields. Our only regret was that we could not spend more time...
