Come camp on our beautiful 80 acres of land, located just 1.1 miles from the trailhead to Mt Mansfield. You would be staying in one of our campsites in the forest with complete privacy and remoteness. There are abundant opportunities nearby for skiing, hiking, or just relaxing. If you need to, you are welcome to use our Hostel's kitchenette, wifi, showers and bathrooms, located about 500 feet away from the campsite. We can also offer the ability to receive and hold parcels if needed.

NATUREWe are a community living on 80 acres on the slopes of Mt Mansfield just 1.1 miles from Butler Lodge trail to the forehead and just a few miles from Underhill State Park with access to the Sunset Ridge trail to the chin. Enjoy all the outdoor adventures that nearby area has to offer; biking, fishing, ice skating, sledding, backcountry skiing and more!

NEIGHBORHOODWe live on 80 acres, with 5 buildings all together in one compound. Our neighbors are quiet residential folks. In Underhill Center (2 miles away), there is a post-office and a small convenience store. In Underhill (5 miles away), there is a full-sized grocery store which carries a variety of organic and conventional goods. The closest public transport is also in Underhill. The bus provides service between Burlington and Jeffersonville. It passes through Underhill on route 15 and picks up at Dickinson Street - just next to the the Jericho Market. You can google “Jeffernsonville Commuter Bus 36” for more information.Bikes can be rented in Burlington and transported on the bus - which bypasses all the city riding and gets you right into the country.

COMMUNITYThere are between 8-12 friendly people living in community on the land. We're around and would love to meet you if you'd like, but we are also happy to give you space.  With that in mind, we ask you to explore nature only close to your campsite and to head out to official trails and parks for more serious hiking - out of respect for the privacy of people living here, and for Nature, which we are in the process of regenerating and preserving.

We had a great experience at the ReTribe hostel. We had originally planned to camp, but were able to move into an open bunk room in the hostel because of heavy rains the first night. Our host was great and very friendly. We enjoyed our stay and the proximity to hike Mt. Mansfield and get up to the Notch. ReTribe has an interesting mission and communal living located on the property.
