We had a fantastic stay at Lower Pasture Campsite at Broadfork Farmstead and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, private camping experience! The host was incredibly accommodating and communicative. We exchanged a few messages through the app before arriving to make sure we had everything we needed, which was much appreciated. The campsite itself was exactly what I was looking for. It was very private, with plenty of room for our tent, a well-maintained fire ring, and a picnic table. Everything was well kept, and the setting was perfect for enjoying some quiet time outdoors. The outhouse deserves a special mention because it was honestly one of the nicest I’ve ever seen! It was very clean and thoughtfully stocked with helpful information, hand sanitizer, extra toilet paper, matches, and other little conveniences that make a difference when camping. We visited at the beginning of the winter camping season, so the showers and washbasins had already been shut off for the season. I can’t comment on those facilities, but all the water hydrants were operational and worked great. There is also Wi-Fi available on the property, although we didn’t end up using it. We had good cell phone service at our campsite and throughout the property as well. Another great feature is the little farm shop, where you can purchase their very own eggs, meat, and honey. The owner even has a power strip available inside where you can charge your cell phone. The walk from the main parking area to Lower Pasture was less than five minutes, mostly downhill, and the owner provides a cart to make hauling your gear back and forth easy. My daughter especially loved seeing all the animals on the farm! We got to see chickens, cows, goats, and geese, which made the experience even more memorable for her. The location was also perfect for us, as Hill Farmstead Brewery is only about five minutes away. That was one of the main reasons we chose this campground, and it worked out wonderfully! There are two other camping options on the property, including a site closer to the main parking area and a bus that looks really cool. I’d love to come back and camp in the bus on a future visit. Overall, this was an excellent camping experience with a wonderful host, a beautiful private site, thoughtful amenities, and a great location. You can tell care has gone into making guests feel welcome and comfortable. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend Lower Pasture Campsite at Broadfork Farmstead to anyone visiting the area!

We had the most lovely experience at Broadfork Farm. Greeted with an absolutely beautiful sunset view over their pasture, we were then met with a delicious welcome board of fruits, fresh bread, and local cheeses. In the morning, Carol generously brought us some freshly cooked shishito peppers. We felt so welcomed. The camping is unusual as you are very much a part of their daily farm life where the camp site is, but we appreciated the care that everyone took to ensure we had a nice stay.

We loved broadfork! The animals were so cute, especially the goats. We were on bikes and it was a nice short ride to Willeys for provisions and then to the lake for a picnic dinner. Will be recommending to friends that want to do a trip to vermont in the future

Quiet farm camping

Had a nice stay in my tent trailer on this small farm. I enjoyed being by the animals (goats, cows, geese, chickens) with a nice view across the field to the hills. Outside shower was fine but a little chilly in the September air. Beautiful area here and I had a great time exploring on bike - the farms, fields and views are beautiful. Carol has a nice farm stand too.

Peaceful farm retreat

One of the best Hipcamps I've ever stayed at! We were in the lower pasture, so we couldn't see the farmhouse or the other two sites. It's a short walk downhill, but they have the grass mowed short and we were given a wagon to make moving our stuff down super easy. The site itself was a spacious flat area of grass with a picnic table and fire ring. Carol was a great host too--she greeted us when we arrived and gave us a quick overview of everything we'd need to know. We also did a breakfast basket add-on, which included breakfast sandwiches Carol made with eggs and bacon from the farm. Delicious!

I had an enjoyable stay there on the lower campsite. The animals are fun to look at. You can't park near your site but there is a wagon you can borrow to take your stuff down there about 50 yards. The lower site has more privacy than the two upper sites if you want that. But pleasant owners and just a fun env. Close to the Hillside Farm Brewey which is what drew me here. I am sure I will return again.

The Bus was a fun place to stay in, and the property was lovely! My friend and I were doing the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail and didn’t want to carry camping gear. The Bus had a fire pit next to it, so it felt like glamping! The Bus was conveniently located and had everything we needed (in addition to beds) —- dishes, cutlery, electricity, an outdoor sink, and sweet water! We enjoyed items from the farm stand (especially the lavender lemonade) and a nice breakfast basket in the morning. Would recommend to others!

Carol is such an incredible host and the bus is adorable. My daughter and her friend shred the bus and the moms pitched a tent outside. We loved cooking and eating while watching the cows, goats and ducks graze in the pasture. Between the outhouse, outdoor shower, outdoor sink and Carol’s indoor farm stand, we had everything we needed just a few steps away. The area is also filled with many gems from Bread and Puppet to incredible ice cream at Wilson Farm Market. Carol was super responsive throughout our entire stay and we returned home feeling revived. Would definitely recommend.

Carol was a wonderful, attentive host and her farm is beautiful! I stayed in the lower campsite which was very private, and a bit of a walk from the main house. The animals were friendly and welcome company. After a few days of bikepacking, I treated myself to a hot shower and the breakfast basket. The breakfast was so delicious! Carol confirmed my breakfast choice and preferred time the evening before. For anyone arriving on bike, it is a bit of a climb to the property, but on freshly paved roads.

We enjoyed our time at Broadfork. Carol and her family are welcoming hosts and the campsite was as described and comfortable for our night stay. It's great to have the picnic table and fire pit and we were able to cook a great dinner over the fire (bring your own cooking grate). Guests should know that it's a bit of hike into the site (down to get there, up to get back to the parking area/outhouse and sink) and may be worth bringing your own firewood if you are trying to be cost conscious. The spot is very private and it's lovely to see the homestead orchard growing as it comes into maturity. Thanks for hosting us!
