Pitch a tent alone or with a group in our community camp area. This area has up to 18 tent spots that are close to each other. Tent sites in this area are all framed by large junipers and are closest to the outhouse and showers. Most of these spots are also just a few steps to our large community fire pit. Since these spots are so closely located, it is a great spot to have a retreat or meet new friends. All of the sites in this area have convenient and close parking. During the day you can explore through the trees and at night you can see tons of stars. Be sure to bring your hiking boots and bug spray, though, because the land is only partially tamed.
Late March through early June the wildflowers are spectacular, but please don't pick them as we are currently in the process of becoming a certified Monarch way station and the flowers and milkweed are crucial to that breed. We also have a honey bee hive that relies on our flowers, too and we ask that you don't disturb their home as well.
All of our camp sites are located next to our festival grounds which include outdoor stages and structures. You are welcome to roam the festival site in your exploring. Our saloon stays locked, but we can open it up if you want to see inside or need to purchase water bottles.
Advance notice: About once a month you can hear the music from Lienzo Charro EL Tejano, a nearby rodeo, from our location.
