From our 40,000-gallon rainwater collection system, to our organic garden and our free-range chickens, we are endeavoring to be good stewards of this property. All of the water from our cabins is non-chlorinated water, which has been purified through better purification systems than the bottled water you buy in your local store. We want your experience at Hillside Acres Retreat to be so good you would recommend us to your friends. To us, that means getting more than you expected, having a great time here, and being treated like family. The idea for the retreat was born of a desire of the owners to utilize their wide travel experiences and gift of hospitality to support those in ministry. The expectation was that at certain times, when available, those who have dedicated their lives to full-time ministry could use these top shelf facilities at a discounted rate to come and recharge. While at other times, the facilities could be used for commercial guests looking for the adventure of coming to the Hill Country. The owners feel this balance will allow for many to enjoy the retreat. We try to maintain a self sustainable facility, from rain collection, solar power, organic gardening, bee keeping, free range chickens and turkeys, to fish from our own pond, we believe that being good stewards of our land is important.

Hill Country Retreat - 3e7f
Hill Country Retreat is amazing! They really went above and beyond. It's a great location for checking out Pedernales Falls State Park, the Hill Country wineries, and Hamilton Pool. It was a comfy and spacious cabin. We would definitely stay here again.
