We have a great place here for you to pitch your tent while enjoying Hamilton Pool, Reimers Ranch Park, West Cave Preserve, the Pedernales River, and other places surrounding Austin. Our property is less than 2 miles from Hamilton Pool. It is a perfect stopping point for cycling through the hill country or kayaking the Pedernales River. There are many distilleries, wineries, and breweries within a short drive. We are 30 miles from Austin and 17 miles from Dripping Springs.
We have a variety of campsites styles ranging from cozy secluded oak groves to wide open spaces. We have sites big enough for larger groups and family reunions with picnic tables, sites suitable for individuals who want to sleep in a hammock in the woods all by themselves, and everything in between.
If we are not under a burn ban, bring out some firewood and/or charcoal because we have fire rings and BBQ cookers at most of the sites.
We have a hot tub our guests are free to use as well as an outdoor shower with hot and cold water. Due to some accidental trespassing onto our neighbors’ properties we can no longer allow hiking on our land. Luckily there are some gorgeous hikes in the multiple nearby county parks and preserves. Also, sounds strangely bounce and travel around the hills out here so we ask that you keep the noise down as to not disturb your fellow campers and our neighbors, especially around the hot tubs.
The rate is $20 per person/per night for Friday and Saturday nights. Each additional person is $20 per night. Sunday through Thursday nights are $15 per person/per night. Children age 5 and under are always free!

It is a fantastic property with rolling hills, great tree cover, and random antiques. There are multiple spots that you can choose from. You are also very close to Hamilton pool and the river where you can go canoeing. If is get’s too hot they even have an outdoor shower! This place is full of charm.
Such an amazing property and host! You can stay up at camp where there are picnic tables and fire pits or wander off and find your own home away from home. We will definitely be back!
Sheri and her husband were very kind and welcoming. We were greeted by their adorable dog Shadow who was thrilled to meet us; such a pretty girl. We were given a quick tour of property and told we could pick any camping spot we would like. Beautiful property, beautiful area and literally minutes from Hamilton Pool and Reimers Ranch. They provided two buckets of water, toilet paper, bug deterrent and had wood provided. Hot tub was great with a pretty view. Definitely recommend this place for anyone looking to get out of the city limits for some peace and quiet.
Great spot to camp that is convenient to both Pedernales Falls and Hamilton Pool (especially when PFSP is maxed out). Very secluded spot, and Sheri and John remind you why you love Austin - friendly, flexible, and so accommodating, . Looking forward to coming back!
This space was perfect when nearby state parks were all booked up! Sheri was great at communicating leading up to our arrival and met us for a quick tour of her land and some fun stories about the property. Our site had a fire pit, picnic table, chairs, and a nice flat spot to pitch our tent. We had access to a hot tub which was an awesome surprise, and running water via garden hose made cleaning dishes and filling water bottles easy. Great site and wonderful hosts!
These hosts were awesome. For this trip, no other campers were there with us. This couple had 20 acres, and the hosts met us upon arrival. Super nice folks. They showed us around and let us have our pick of where we wanted to be. This couple lives on their 20 acres in one house, and also has another house that they physically moved onto the property that they are fixing up. We stayed in the backyard of that fixer-upper house. This section had space for us to kick a soccer ball around (we brought a 6 year old), and the hosts provided bocci ball and a crochet set. They also had a dog that our 6 year old son LOVED (note: the dog was always on a leash unless we were comfortable, and the dog was not an 'amenity' with the campsite. She went home with her parents after meet/greet :) ) There was a custom-built gigantic concrete fire pit with several chairs and homemade end tables around it, with a view. We had at least three full sized tables here, and we used two of them: one for 'kitchen stuff', and one for playing cards. Tons of firewood was provided, plus more to collect. And the hot tub. Wow, they had a hot tub. They cleaned it for us, left it on for us, and even provided towels. Electricity and potable water was provided/used. There were other sites which were about 20-30 feet from the area we stayed in. If people were there, we could have heard them, but not seen them. That area had picnic tables, a hammock, plenty of shade, and some tubs with "in case you forgot" stuff like TP, hand sanitizer, bug spray. These hosts are into custom concrete, both for decor and for practical creations. They were a pleasure to talk to, and even linked us to a movie on amazon prime that was filmed on their property. We liked it here very much, and will be back in some capacity. They're 1.7 miles from Hamilton Pool, which I'm sure will be great for their business in the warmer months.
Sheri and Johnnie could not have been better hosts! The location is perfect, and exactly as described in the listing. We camped with our two boys (ages 1 and 6), and just cruised around the property looking for bugs and creatures. Wish we would have had more time! Would definitely love to camp here again. Thanks Sheri and Johnnie!
