Camp Chorriola is a family owned property. We are all very active in the outdoorsand dedicated survivalists. We have a large pond for fishing, swimming and floating (tubes only and not provided at this time). We will be expanding our trails soon over an extra 28 acres. We love meeting new people and trading primitive skillsets and homesteading ideas with others.

Perfect for primitive camping!
I had a great time at Camp Chorriola! Jennifer, the host was very friendly and accommodating. She drove me around the property and showed me everything and let me set up camp wherever I wanted. I picked a nice wooded area with lots of oaks since I was hammock camping. It was very primitive and secluded which is what I was looking for. There is a good sized pond to fish and swim in, but it was too cold and rainy to swim the day I went. There's plenty of trails to hike around on and places to explore. If you're looking for a nice primitive place to camp then this place is perfect. I will definitely like to come back again soon.
This was a really fun campsite and would definitely recommend. Stayed right next to the water and fished all day and night. Caught a bass out on the little row boat on site while my daughter played floating around the pond. The only bad part was that it says there is trash containers and a portapotty were on site which I did not see.
Decent spot, but not as advertised
Firstly, the address that was given was wrong. I had to call the host, and she told me where to go and met me to show me to the site. There were not any dumpsters or a port-a-potty, as was listed for the site.
Fun camp, pond, & animals!
We had a fantastic weekend at Camp Chorriola. Jennifer was a wonderful host, very nice and accommodating, and the campsite on the pond was quite idyllic.
There are a bunch of adorable animals on the property, from goats to puppies to a trio of nice swans hanging out in the pond. The town nearby has everything you need at the gas stations and convenience stores, and I would highly recommend taking a day trip out to Lake Somerville (about 45 min from camp) to hang out in the lake and hike through the trails to see birds, wild flowers and some nice views.
Jennifer is a welcoming host, and the site is great if you are used to primitive camping. Good fishing in the pond, and lots of bird watching from the shore. Supplies are just a short drive if you've forgotten anything, be sure to bring your own water, and ask for directions if you are unfamiliar with the area.
