I booked this as a treat for my boyfriend and his grandsons. They loved it. We went to Red Clay State Park which is only a mile or so from the site. We toured the park and learned a lot about the Cherokees from the guides.

My boyfriend's father joined us for dinner cooked on a grill. It was wonderful.

Then I headed home; we only live about 30 minutes away in Chattanooga. The guys did a little fishing, rode their bikes, and tromped through the pasture to check out the cows.

That night they built a campfire and make smores. Then, worn out from all the activity, they were lulled to sleep by the sounds of croaking frogs.

The gate needs to be a little wider, though. We were barely able to get our 21 foot travel trailer through. Overall, it was a great get-away.

Kyle was so helpful from the time we got there to the time we left. He gave us fresh water when we needed it and left firewood for us. The camp site was easy to get to and really peaceful. We spent some time at Red Clay Park, which was really close. We even bought some fresh eggs from Kyle when we left. I would definitely recommend staying here!
