Barbara was a great host! Very friendly and helpful. The place was amazing, we set up tent by the pond it was perfect flat ground and there are a few amenities to share with others there like a fridge and picnic table, etc. We had an amazing peaceful stay the grounds were amazing, stars at night perfect - we would definitely visit again! (Bring bug spray for the evenings!)
We had the best time staying here! The property is beautiful and relaxing and our hosts were more than accommodating, giving us tips about the area and even driving us up to see mountain views on the property. We even had some fun pickin' sessions in the evenings! We cannot recommend this place enough!
Awesome three nights. Good fire and sleeping on a great spot on top of the hill. Hosts are very sympathetic and engaged. Very scenic drive on Henry Town Road!

Barbra and Jerry were flexible and easy-going with our arrival time and greeted us upon arrival. They were friendly and welcoming. They set up a tent for showering while we were gone during the day and allowed us to fish in their little pond. They had a place for us to keep food and trash locked away as they live in bear country. They also had many pamphlets about the various activities you could do and see around where they lived that we were welcomed to take. Barbara and Jerry were around and available if we needed them, but let us be if we didn’t.
The bullfrogs were noisy, so bring some earplugs. ;)
A few weeks ago, we stayed at Mountain Soul and we had a wonderful time. We were able to stay up by the main site (I believe it was called Campsite 6) where we had a kitchen available with fridge, electric burner, and all the cooking utensils that you could possibly need. We didn't need them because we had brought everything but this is definitely a good spot to go if you either don't have all the camping cooking supplies or just don't want to pack any.
Also, there was a portapoty and a camping shower available. There was not only a picnic table with benches but also a table and chairs in a covered area right "off" the kitchen.
We camped with our toddler and it was a great spot for her. The owner even had outdoor toys that our daughter was allowed to play with. The owner, Barbra, even told us that we could use the available fishing pole and bait if we wanted to give it a try in the pond that was on our campsite, which we didn't because we are not a fishing family and because we had so much to explore. But we did enjoy feeding the fish with the feed that Barbra had shown us. Our toddler loved throwing food into the pond and seeing the fish come up to scoop the food up.
We roamed the property a bit during our short stay and it was quite nice as three little creeks (from well water) were around the property for our family to get into and look for salamanders. The water was just ankle depth for our toddler at the time we went, so it was a lot of fun for her. We also enjoyed the little waterfall, and the available hammock by one of the creeks.
The only downside, I would say, were the noisy neighborhood dogs once it got dark. It seemed like they were barking to keep wildlife away from their property. But once asleep, they didn't really bother us anymore. And our toddler did not have any trouble falling asleep either.
Also, one of the nights we stayed, two neighborhood dogs that had gotten loose, ran through our campsite. They didn't even look at us and just ran past us but it was a little worrisome as it was dark and they past us all a sudden (as there is wildlife, I was quite scared at first until I recognized the animal to be a dog). But the owner explained that one of her neighbors had gotten a couple new dogs and that they don't quite know their place yet.
Overall, I would say that it was still an excellent camping trip and especially a nice campsite to visit with toddlers because there is so much for them to discover there and as a mom, I felt at ease having that kitchen and a camping stove to be able to meet my toddlers needs (e.g. oatmeal before the fire was even started in the morning; cold milk from the fridge, etc.).
Also, Barbra was excellent. She always replied promptly via text before our trip and was there to meet us and explain everything to us when we arrived and checked on us the next day. We are thinking about going back again some time.
It was very relaxing and comfortable! Barbra and Jerry were great hosts, very accommodating and helpful.
Mountain Soul was AMAZING!!! It was beautiful up there you are not camping on top of each other at the camp site's. The host's Barbara and Jerry were the most amazing people!
