Hanscombe Point Plantation is a 300 acre working farm that has been in the Legare family for 9 generations. We raise beef cows, heritage breeds of pigs, laying hens, and water buffalo.  Additionally, we raise vegetables and do a lot of agri-tourism including: summer camps, school field trips, and a large pumpkin patch maze each year. Our accommodations include a vintage camper, primitive campsites along a salt water creek, and an RV area on our farm. We are located just 30 minutes from nearby beaches and downtown Charleston. Use our property as your base of operation as you have fun at the beach or tour the historic city, or just stay for a quiet get away in the woods. There is also a lot of wildlife such as: wild turkeys, woodstorks, raccoons, and alligators.  Fishing and crabbing are available on the salt water creek next to the campsite as well. We look forward to hosting you!

Quiet spot, with animals.
We enjoyed every part of our stay with Linda. The plantation operation fascinated us. Very quiet with only one RV spot. Workers and residents shared the road we were parked on but they were quiet and helpful if needed. Our grandkids visited and loved the animals. We are already planning to visit again!

Great spot for kids! My son loved playing in their play area and seeing the cows! You are near the gate of the entrance so there is some traffic back and forth throughout the day and the spot feels a little exposed, but overall, a pleasant and quiet stay.

Gorgeous Sunset
This place is beautiful. Got here right before sunset and it was absolutely gorgeous. Depending on the site, some are very private. We will definitely be back.

Quick weekend getaway

Beautiful and Spacious. Animals roaming freely was a nice touch. Always answered the phone and never had to leave a message. Very accommodating. Will definitely be back. It is Charleston on the marsh so bring thermacell and bug spray. Will be staying here again!!!
