Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.

I. run a cattle grazing farm in Duingal, right on the Burnett River, 18km out of Gin Gin and 60km from Bundaberg. We have 100 acres of paradise with many sites to choose from, either along our 300m of Burnett river frontage or along the winding Duingal creek tucked into seclusion. For the bigger vans we have sites up on top of the property overlooking the Burnett with just a short walk down to the water. There are NO Ammenities available so own toilet is a MUST! Bring your fishing rods, kayaks and walking shoes. There's some great fishing here including barramundi, perch, yellow belly mullet, gar - and plenty of catfish to keep the kids entertained! Don’t have a kayak, no worries. We also have kayaks available for hire. We also have the most magnificent sunrises and sunsets here, with beautiful birdlife including hawks and water eagles. Great for bird watching and photography! All campsites have access to the water unless we are advised per booking. Less than 5km down the road you will find Wallaville where there is a great local Wallaville pub, and a corner store that offers great pizza. Telstra is available for communication, and we are also only 18km from Gin Gin and around 50km from Bundaberg. Campfires permitted in the designated areas only, bring your own fire pit when possible as we have a limited number of fire pits available. when fire restrictions/bans are not in place. Plenty of fallen timber around the place to collect for firewood. I suggest U bring wood for the ist night, In case it has rained & saves the hassle first up allowing U to chill out sooner 🥂 Well behaved pets welcome, but they must be kept under control and you must pick up after them. A Toilet is a Must By indicating your type of camping , size of camper, type of vehicle, we can then locate you to the best suited site for an enjoyable stay thanks. Great fishing (Barramundi, perch, yellow belly mullet, gar - and plenty of catfish to keep the kids entertained!) plus kayaking, bush-walking and more. Be prepaid to drive through and clear please 🥂 Then come down to the Shed and caravan to be shown your campsite 👏👏 Going out the gate open toward U, after pressing the little black button to open the gate. We had a great one night stay! Jennifer is very friendly and helpful. Next time we would like to stay longer and have a better look around :)

Paradise Lost on the Burnett

We really enjoyed camping at Paradise is Lost on the Burnett. Good directions and easy access for our 19'6 caravan. We met Jennifer on arrival and she quickly escorted us to our site. The site was large, well maintained (mowed), private and with access to the water. We spent our time fishing and sitting around the fire, very quiet and at one with nature. We took a drive into the local village and had a beer at the pub, we felt very welcome there. We would definitely return again.

Large, mowed sites that are spaced out far enough for maximum privacy. Safe water access for kayaking or swimming and our dog loved his freedom. Jennifer even bought us some fresh eggs from her chickens! We will be back!

We loved this place, heaps of room, we were camped on the anabranch of the river, no one close by, lovely fire pit, the dogs loved the freedom.

Serenity

So quiet I could hear the lung fish breathing.! Dark sky so lots of stars. Camp sites are spread out, so very peaceful. Amazing creek and river for kayaking. Bird watching is great. Jennifer is a lovely host.

Wonderful

This place is an absolute gem! We like quiet, scenic locations and this was it. Great spot by the river. Beautiful birds, black swans, fish jumping, mist on the river in the morning. Fire pit, dinner under the stars. Wonderful! One night was not enough. We'll be back. And the host Jennifer was lovely. She and her two little doggos escorted is to our immaculate freshly mowed spot down by the river, had a good chat, then left us to our own devices. Perfect!
