River Runs Through It
My wife and I reached The Love Farm on an early autumn evening - the weather for the most part was slightly cloudy with the sun playing the occasional peek-a-boo. The property is lined with gorgeous trees which have shed a little more than half its leaves, painting the ground rustic gold.
The first stop, just a minute or two drive from the front entrance, is the residence of Luana and Richard. We were greeted by Luana, whom then drove us around her residence to show us our private little plot of land which runs adjacent to the Willamette river. There, we were awe-struck by the Renoir-like landscape, with many thoughtful touches that made the stay warm, safe, and convenient. The water was much too cool to swim in, but I can only imagine how much fun a dip in the waters would be in warmer weather.
There is a fire pit with firewood and some firestarter provided for our stay, along with a pair of campchairs and a table. A surprisingly clean vault toilet is provided (lined with a plastic bag), with toilet paper kept dry in plastic Tupperware. We let the fire burn into the evening, and despite not being able to see the stars that night because of cloudiness, there was very little light pollution from the surrounding area, at least for what our eyes could render.
Alas, our one night stay was cut short as we had to jettison to our next checkpoint along our road trip, but we do look forward to our return to The Love Farm in the foreseeable future. Cheers.

Camp Site:Way Cool Privacy by River
Great time, great place. Really liked the privacy and river at our site. Nice hosts, good supplies and space to walk around. I wish it was a bit cheaper, frankly, but i understand that the prices set by the landowners are bound to vary quite a bit. That said, paying a bit more to hipcamp, or fees or whatever, brought it to over 50 buck for 2 people, As campers it's a bit more than we like to pay, and even 20 or 10 dollars less total woulda seemed better overall.
Would and may stay again, I think we had one of 2 best sites.

Great little private grove. Awesome access to a great swim hole on the Coast fork of the Willamette river.

River Runs Through It
Luana and Richard really roll out the Hipcamp red carpet for their guests and making you feel welcome and happy. The River Runs Through It campsite, which was a short 15-20 minute drive from Eugene, was absolutely lovely, quiet, private, clean and full of beauty. We felt pampered and well taken care of and hope that you will enjoy your stay at The Love Farm as much as we did!
