The folks here at Geer Crest Farm are some of the best. Their love to farming and living in such a way is amazing. They have an amazing space to camp on, from flat tent spots, to places to park a sweet camper van like we were on! There's also a tree house, chickens, goats, horses, and a beautiful creek that make the mornings so relaxing. How could you go wrong!? I hope to be back very soon!
The GeerCrest Farm is so quaint and full of history. The late 1800's buildings are beautiful as the sun sets over the surrounding hills and the fruit trees around the grounds provide a small sweet snack! My wife loved the hobby-farm feel with the chickens, ducks, sheep and horses penned around the farm.
The site was great. We had out 1-year-old with us, and were worried about her crying in the night and unintentionally bothering the other guests, but the amount of space was enough to make us feel comfortable. Adam was extremely nice in showing us around and making us comfortable.
As a single woman I would not feel safe.
You need to be completely self sufficient to enjoy stay.
Outhouse was clean.
Potable water was behind building which felt unsafe for a single woman.
Male employee over stayed visit at camp site. Walked right through site a couple of times.
Nice farm stay
We had a lovely one night stay at the farm. Adam was super nice and made sure we had everything we needed. We were able to sit on the porch, pet some sheep, look at the ducks, and use the outdoor kitchen which was convenient. There isn't exactly a 'campsite,' but you can put your tent in a couple places on the property. It's by the road, but not a lot of cars go at night.
Wonderful little farm! It was SO much better than dealing with obnoxiously crowded state park campgrounds, and a perfect distance for visiting Silver Falls State Park for the day. We felt welcomed, safe, and loved waking up to relaxing farm noises. Our kids loved checking out the ducks and sheep, and we felt completely at ease letting them walk around to explore. We definitely recommend!
