This is a three acre park located adjacent to the Hauer of the Dauen Vineyard, in the heart of the Willamette Valley. Farms, nurseries and vineyards are abundant in this region which make for spectacular views during long bike rides or a relaxing afternoon of wine tasting. The 80 acres of grapes, adjacent to the park, is a working vineyard and it can be a rather moving experience to watch the sunrise over the rows of 35 year-old vines in the morning, as you hear the native birds and other wildlife begin to chirp and rustle about.
Children 12 years and under are free and not subject to an additional charge per campsite.
We will rent out the entire park for family reunions, weddings, or other special events. Please submit a booking request for the day of your event and we can adjust pricing to allow for rental of the entire park.

Through rolling hills of ornamental farms and vineyards, we found our campground- a large field ideal for large gatherings (in fact, Krista and Allen married here!). Preferring to tuck in away from the road, we opted for the two large trees near a rivine. Noticing poison oak and a hornet's nest on one (which has since been removed), we cozied up to the other and set up camp. Across the field are vines that were planted in 1978 and are still producing grapes that are regularly purchased by large wineries. Only 5% of the grown grapes make it into the Dauenhauer wines, made by Grandpa Carl, which are for sale on the weekends in the taproom a mere short walk away. Our friend and her 6 year old son arrived with Tango, their Aussie Shepherd. We enjoyed the open spaces for playing and watching stars. A port-a-potty is there for your convenience and is regularly cleaned. We had a comfortable sleep and woke up with a hankering to pick blackberries for buckwheat pancakes. The field, although vast, is quite nice as it's fairly flat and up above the road of speeding drivers. The property is close to so much to explore and would be an ideal stop-off on your path to the coast or even more wine events. Krista and Allen gave us cucumbers from their garden and welcomed us to sample wine and learn the history behind the varietals they grow. They're such a lovely family with a lovely property I would visit again.
We had a great time at the campgrounds. Everything was well organized, the port-a-pottys were very clean, there was a hand washing station, and breakfast was provided. The closest town is McMinneville (20 min away), the downtown is really nice, there were lots of local stores and restaurants. There are no gas stations in Dayton, make sure you get what you need in McMinneville.
We camped here for the 2017 eclipse. The field was well kept, fairly level, directly next to the vineyards. The hosts were attentive and eager to help whenever possible. They provided wine tasting and some outdoor toys/games for the kids. There was a good crowd on hand. Very good experience. They really put in a good effort. Not everything was perfect. But they really tried.
Krista D. and this campsite were FANTASTIC! Krista was a totally helpful, completely came through on some things she had stated, and this special event (Total Eclipse) at the campsite was spot-on as advertised. On the morning of the eclipse, during their buffet breakfast offering, they were going above and beyond for everyone. The campsite is smack-dap in the Oregon wine country, so you will have a fabulous overall experience. Thanks very much, Krista, for everything you did for us. Cheers, Steve
