The vibe at Croakers Crossing Farm
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
This was an incredibly relaxing and peaceful hipcamp.
The property is a fully functioning regenerative farm. The hosts, Dave and Jenna were wonderful. They gave me a full tour of space, introduced me to all the animals, and even taught me about some of the regenerative practices they're using.
The campsite is located in a private thicket of trees with great views of the valley. A fire pit is provided so long as the local fire risk is low.
The property backs up to the Tualatin River. This is great for fishing, a quick swim, or a lazy tube float. They also have a bathroom for use by hipcampers in the barn on the lower front of the property.
If you're looking for a laid back environment to recharge the batteries, then look no further. I'd also highly recommend buying some of their free flowing honey. It's delicious. :)
If your looking to get away without driving for hours this farm is the place. Jenna and Dave were great! Brought me fresh duck eggs for breakfast and purchased a farm fresh chicken to cook up for dinner! Lots of friendly animals and a peaceful place to camp in the woods. What more could you ask?
Croakers Crossing Farm was an amazing place to stay! Jenna was an extremely gracious host who provided us with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable, including some farm fresh eggs and apples! She also took us on a tour of the farm, where we got to meet all of the pigs, miniature cows, chickens, turkeys, geese, and more. She showed us her amazing closed system garden and explained the sustainable farming practices that they implement. Our stay was quiet and relaxing and we were able to enjoy both walking around the property and sitting in the river, with a beer in our hand and our feet in the cool water. We would highly recommend Croakers Crossing as a place for anybody to stay!
