The A-Frame was great for my wife and I. It was cold and rainy so the wood burning stove and propane heater provided kept us warm. We brought a 2 burner stove and used the provided pull out table for cooking. If you are kayaking or looking to fish, the new river is a stones throw away. We walked down the road to see the water fall, Nana Falls as well. As a side note the The Porter John is just down the hill and was clean as well. Steve is a great host who will make sure you have everything you need. I highly recommend staying here but make sure you like the other person because it’s cozy!

I would highly recommend Steve's getaw"A"y to anyone! Steve was incredibly friendly and hospitable during the entire process from getting there and to leaving. His property is beautiful and couldn't be any closer to the water. Steve gave us a tour of the property and A frame then left us to ourselves but he was there if we decided we needed anything. The A frame had a Mr. Buddy Heater and a small wooden stove which kept us plenty warm and comfortable. Grayson Highlands State Park was a 45 minutes away and definitely worth the drive! We're looking forward to visiting again in the Spring/Summer when we can go tubing and kayaking down the river.

Very relaxing spot right next to the river! The A is a great use of small space with clever thought built into every bit. Steve was a great host with tons of recommendations and plenty of resources to keep us warm in the wet winter. The road leading up to the A was very muddy and I’d recommend 4x4 in rainy or snowy conditions
