Snaggy Mountain is such a peaceful hideaway In the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains! Jared is so welcoming and makes you feel at home and soon as you step foot on his gorgeous property. Every campsite has an amazing view of the moutains, so you can't go wrong when choosing a spot! The land is huge and Jared encourages you to explore in and around all the cool buildings and fields around his property. At night, make sure to go down to the community house, there you'll find a warm wood stove and a even warmer welcome from Jared and his friends. Snaggy Mountian is such a special place and I can't wait to camp there again.

Camping at Snaggy Mountain was incredible. The views are worth gold! The stars at night were ethereal and Jared was a very kind and welcoming host. The site was private and situated right in the perfect spot. After we set up we walked up to see the underground tropical greenhouse that Jared has built and has available for artist to come and work in. The whole property is brimming with inspiration and opportunity and just the perfect place to relax and dream! I will most definitely be camping here again!

Great spot near Asheville, Pisgah, and the BRP! I've stayed here twice now. It's a secluded and breathtaking location, and Jared is incredibly helpful. During the fall the colors are beautiful. And during the summer, I've never quite seen anything like the fireflies at night.

Awesome view! Jared was a wonderful host and we had a great time. Snaggy Mountain was super easy to find and we felt incredibly welcome at the campsite. It felt safe and secluded, which is exactly what we were looking for. Hope to be back again soon!

20/10. I can't recommend this place enough if you love the great outdoors as much as I do. Stunning views, amazing people, easy to find! We had a lovely time camping here, it was a bit hot but that's August for you! My only regret is that we didn't stay longer, I will for sure be going back!!!!

Absolutely amazing! Stayed here 2 nights for the solar eclipse and I couldn't have found a better spot. Jared was so welcoming and helpful when we got there. The property is so interesting with all the different things growing and the neat art around, and he encourages you to look around and explore everything. It was very private and secluded, which is exactly what we were looking for. The walk up to the site isn't too bad if you don't have much; if you have a bigger load, with kids, and/or are staying longer I would recommend having a 4WD to get up to the site, but Jared is also very helpful and when we first got there he took a lot of our stuff up for us in his truck. I took my 6yo daughter and she cried when we left because she didn't want to leave... everything about this place was magical and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a real outdoor camping experience... it was the best camping trip I've taken yet.

Kind people, live music, twinkling stars and thought provoking/spontaneous herb and plant tastings. All good things.

We booked site 2, which was the higher of the two elevation-wise, and the view was incredible. Very private. Had a little trouble figuring out exactly where to go once we got there (real hippie commune feel with lots of friendly artists, but not your Airbnb-type experience where a host is waiting for you) - you hang a left when you see the big white bus and go up a steep hill. Intimidating looking, but my CRV had no issues. Site had basic firepit and two benches. Recommend Crabtree Falls and Mount Mitchell-area hikes.

This campsite is absolutely amazing! Jared was super friendly and accommodating! Will be going back to this site for sure!

Nice place, lots of space to walk around. Cool cat lives up by the greenhouse.

It is absolutely beautiful! My husband and me spent a wonderful Mid-Autumn Festival watching full moon on this camping site. We had wonderful experience in this beautiful place surrounded by apple trees and wild flowers. We were so surprised and amazed when we saw cloud arose from valley and formed a "lake" in front of us next morning. We will definitively come back here every year!

This place was beautiful! It was my dog and I and we stayed for one night and two days. Jared was very welcoming and ensured that he was there if I had any questions or needed anything. It is very easy to find and the view is amazing. I was there in October but it ended up being very warm and there was little shade at the campsite so it forces you to checkout the amazing hikes around there. I highly suggest Grassy Ridge Bald; it’s 4.8 miles and about an hour drive from the campsite. Thank you, Jared!

This site was incredible. I recently visited with my girlfriend. You drive up to check in to this super welcoming home to with tons of instruments and other cool things Jared was really nice and took us up to the site, in which you turn around and just see this breath-taking view. Sounds too good to be true but it is definitely worth every penny. I would really enjoy visiting again.
