Our stay at Bill’s campsite exceeded our expectations. Bill met us at the beginning of our stay to go over details and was very helpful in giving us directions/recommendations to nearby attractions. The campsite is about a five minute trek through the woods from the designated parking spot and situated in a very private location by a creek. After our initial meet-and-greet with Bill, we didn’t see a single person the rest of our stay even though there’s another campsite on Bill’s property. All in all, a great experience!
Creekside was a dream!
This site is a hidden gem and a piece of wooded paradise. This was my first time camping solo and I'm so happy that I chose Bill's property for this experience. The site IS a little bit of a walk from the parking area (i recommend wearing boots or sneakers), down a hill "over the river (creek) and through the woods". Bill has built a sturdy little bridge for campers to cross the water. Once gear is loaded in, the spacious and very private camping area was a blissful spot to set up, hang a hammock by the creek, build a fire and 'turn off" for a while.
Access the pond is a fantastic bonus, and Bill and his wife are hands off but accommodating if you need anything. I was even able to walk up to the other site on the property since it wasn't occupied and check out a GORGEOUS view of the surrounding hills and mountains. I will DEFINITELY be back for another visit or two this summer!
Fantastic spot by the creek. It's about a five minute hike down from the parking spot..pay attention to the blazes (plastic ribbon markers) on the trail and you'll find it easily. I rained and there were some muddy squishy spots, so be sure to bring proper footwear.
The hosts were wonderful! We met them and spoke briefly, and they answered all questions we texted quickly and accurately. Short of backpacking in to a remote spot, it's hard to find such an isolated campsite that's so easy to get to.
Great campsite - friendly host!
A beautiful, private camp site set beside a babbling creek just a few minute charming walk from the parking spot up the hill. This site couldn't be more perfect and Bill couldn't be more friendly and welcoming. He carried water and firewood down to the site showing us the way, down a hillside, along the creek and over a private little suspension bridge to a sweet site nestled in the trees. Rocky dog was allowed to be off leash, enjoying his freedom and we were invited to enjoy the swimming pond whenever we liked. I will definitely be back.
We found ourselves very lucky to have found Bill's posting of this beautiful place. All details already described well in previous reviews hold true. Our weekend was filled with walks along the creek, a couple of visits to the swimming pond (especially early on Sunday morning), best mood, and stillness with a constant beautiful melody of the running creek in the background. We enjoyed the private setting and felt our ever so large 'living room' was of best natural grandeur. Thank you Bill, for making us feel so welcome. We will be back and are also curious about camping out here in early spring and fall seasons.
Williams creekside campsite was the perfect getaway from the city. I am a big time backpacker and have camped at some incredibly secluded and beautiful back country sites. William's campsite was somehow equivalent in privacy minus the long hike. He provided flawless directions, water, and information on nearby hikes. However the spot was so beautiful we didn't end up leaving. The pond made for the most perfect afternoon dip. And the creek provided a wonderful babbling soundscape for sleep. My boyfriend and I will definitely be retuning for another city escape!
Our stay at the Creekside Campsite was perfect in every way. William set aside wood and a large jug of water for us and shared an easy-to-read map of the property.
Don’t miss out on walking 20 yards up see to the pond- a picturesque spot to cook and fish. We caught a released a small mouth bass over breakfast.
We’d love to come visit again!
