The most private, beautiful camp
This has been the best camping experience of my life. Every campground I have been to I have felt crowded as if I've been on a subway, and for the first time, I felt like my family and I were truly seclidedn in nature. Marcia and Louise were amazing people, we didn't just camp on someone's grounds, we made new friends.
The lad was beautiful, and the site was amazing. We had acres of space to ourselves for our daughter to explore, animals to meet, dogs to pet, cows to meet, and a beautiful expansive field to enjoy every night.
The camper was perfect with electricity and water. And the site was perfect with a grill and a perfect firepit. Truly, all you need is a sense of wonder. Pile up some of the wood Marcia and Louise provide, use a bit of wax cardboard to get it set, and you're entire evening is on its way.
If you're less than roughing it than Marcia and Louise ha e provided everything, bit if you want it rough than pitch some tents and enjoy the expanse. My family did both, our daughter had a gorgeous tent with a view of the entire sunrise, and we enjoyed the amenities of a fully functional trailer with water and electricity.
This was just a beautiful experience. I, personally, needed to leave the world, and that's what I got. I spent a couple of short days eating fire cooked food, smiling, exploring nature, and just enjoying seeing mi daughter love nature.
I'm top of that Marcia and Louise were the nicest people I've ever met, they included us as much as possible while respecting our space. We head off to explore the area and we're amazed and excited to have a 4th of July invitation to have a nice fire by the lake. These are truly beautiful and wonderful people. And I'll forever hold the memory of these people trying to put a little fireworks display together to entertain my 4 year old.
Long story short, this camp is amazing, but Marcia and Louise are more amazing. I will be returning for the beautiful scenario, but really it's to make sure my daughter gets to spend time with such wonderful women and hopefully learns from them both.
Thank you so much for letting us stay, you will see us again soon!
Nice last minute find. The site provides a comfortable camping experience with plenty of chairs and multiple tables to eat at as well as an umbrella for shade which was appreciated in the hot sun. There is a beautiful swimming hole/lake near the site and the hiking options are plentiful. Marcia recommended a kayaking outfit in Downsville that was also very good and made for a lovely Sunday. Altogether a pleasant experience.
