Camp in comfort in a furnished cabin-style canvas tent on a working organic farm in the Great Northern Catskills. More than just a place to camp, your visit offers you an authentic farm stay experience.
Our camp sites are in a secluded, natural area of the farm surrounded by 50+ acres of woods, meadow, farm fields, and a spring-fed pond. The four sites are placed out of direct line-of-sight from one another, giving you personal space and privacy. Natural beauty and wildlife abound - fall asleep to the hooting of owls and chirping of crickets, wake to the songs of bluebirds and scent of wild honeysuckle. We're far from any city lights, making for brilliant stargazing.
The Woods is our most secluded site, set back in the woods about 7 minute walk-in from the check-in/parking area. It is at the end of the farm road, near (but set back in the woods from) our main farm field. The site is in a natural clearing in the woods, surrounded by beech, maple, and pine trees with ferns and other undergrowth.
The Woods site features a 12x14 cabin-style canvas tent on a hand-built wooden platform, which also provides a small deck outside the tent door. Inside the tent is a full-sized bed with cotton bedding. There is room to add two folding cots or camping pads on the floor of the tent (bring your own or rent from us). A small table and chairs provide comfortable indoor seating, with books, games, and simple art supplies to while away your time in the natural setting.
The site has its own picnic table, campfire pit, charcoal Weber grill, and propane Coleman 2-burner stove (stove must be used outside the tent only). We've tried to provide everything so you can just show up and relax!
This site is ideal for couples, small families, or a small group of friends, with a maximum of four guests. It makes a lovely artist's or writer's retreat for those seeking solitude and natural inspiration. Because of all the trees enclosing this site, there is limited space to set up a second tent, though a hammock would work nicely.
Despite the added luxuries of this site, it is still camping! There is no electricity, no running water, and no wi-fi. You're in the woods and you'll see dirt, bugs, and other little critters.
Please note that all sites are strictly walk-in. You will park your vehicle next to the barn and walk to your site (about 7 minute easy hike). We provide a hand-pulled wagon to tote your gear that you may use throughout your stay.
