On our land we cultivate microgreens, wild mushrooms, tinctures, tonics, salves, ciders, herbal hair products and fiber goods. None of this would be possible without the support of visitors like you who would love to roll up their sleeves and get involved to share and build community with us. Enjoy a wild and edible plant walk and harvest with the farmers by donation.
The land holds a creek, a spring, a stream and a small pond. If you're looking for a place to enjoy camping, hiking, long walks, private swims and bonfires, the land is conveniently attached to the Appalachian Trail and sits on over 40 acres of preserved woodland forest to explore and is close to the Ten Mile River as well as the Housatonic River.
We have an outdoor shower and a Sunmar composting toilet available. Peaceful sounds of water and wildlife embrace you in the morning. Fireflies that melt into glistening stars and bright moonlight energize you by night.
Whether it's Spring, Summer, Autumn or Winter, our home is a peaceful, rustic sanctuary for all.

This was an excellent campsite. It was spacious and had a large makeshift fire pit, picnic table, and some pieces of old outdoor furniture that we didn't need but could be useful for others. Our site was right next to a small creek with crystal clear water. The site was close to a main road as well, but because of all the trees and the creek we hardly noticed it. It felt very private as there are a lots of trees and brush around. We were able to drive my small sedan directly onto the property and through the brush right to the campsite which made unloading easy. We walked around the surrounding land a bit and would definitely recommend proper shoes and pants as there some thorns that could scratch you up if you aren't careful. There is a large grocery store ( and liquor, wine, beer store) about a 15 minutes drive away to stock up!
A really great place ! Highly recommended and I would go back any time.
There were several sites to choose among, some very private, others closer to the road. The hosts were super helpful and very accommodating. Access to the AT from the property was very easy.
I met Ben and he was very kind and helped us find the campsite very easily. Also, because my wife is recovering from a broken leg, he easily accommodated us and changed our site to one that was more accessible!
My family and I had a great time. Ben was super helpful and showed us the best place to park to prevent getting stuck. I'm glad that we were able to drive right onto the campsite because we are absolute novice campers/hikers. Our campsite had a compost toilet and a private firepit. It was close enough to the main road that we could see drivers pass by, but far enough that the noise wasn't a bother. It was also comforting to see that stores/outlets are less than 20min away just in case. We explored a little, but it was late afternoon when we arrived and it rained that night into the next morning. Thanks to Ben, we were able to drive right out. No sticking! Next time we'll likely do the tour. I reccomend this listing and will return.
