These best describe this 754 hectare (1864 acres) property. Stonepine Ridge is 'remote' - your camp sites are away from any dwellings - but you are still close enough to country towns across borders. Map to get here ( https://stonepineridge.com.au/map/ ) There is plenty of space for social distancing. Most camp sites are 50 or more metres apart. The terrain is mostly treed with some cleared, pastured country. On the border with the Queensland town of Stanthorpe, Stonepine Ridge is close to the historic areas of Willsons Downfall and Amosfield in New South Wales. Home to many rivers that traverse the property from top to bottom, the Boonoo Boonoo and Bookookookarara rivers and Undercliffe and Boonoo Boono Falls are close by and are popular sites to spend a few hours walking/hiking and immersing yourself in the ambient countryside. The Boonoo Boonoo and Bald rock National Parks are also within this area. The beautiful New England town of Tenterfield is about 20 minutes drive from the falls and offers visitors many shopping and restaurant options. Be sure to stop en route to visit the World War 2 tank traps - (Australia's Maginot Line) and Thunderbolt's hideout. A short drive across the border into Queensland will give you access to the Girraween National Park and a host of wineries, coffee shops, restaurants and pubs. At Stonepine Ridge, some areas of the top country are accessible by 2WD when not wet but high suspension and 4wheel drive vehicles are recommended. This camping property is large and you will find no better place that allows for gentle as well as more advanced walking, hiking and mountain biking. The altitude on the property varies from 900m at the top down to 50m to the bottom. The temperature is variable with mostly cool nights, which makes for restful sleep and a nice fire to add to the ambience.

Creek View

Beautiful property. Liz was very proactive with communicating and very helpful. Big sites with plenty of space between them. We stayed in the creek view sites and the only thing to be cautious of is that not all the sites are completely flat, worth reaching out to Liz when you book if you are in a tent like we were.

Rory's Lookout

Me and my pup really enjoyed our time. Imagine camping in the woods on the side of a mountain... that was our stay! When we arrived, it was a beautiful sunny day and overnight - we got hit by rain and wind. But it made for a gorgeous backdrop. We were lucky to have the campgrounds to ourselves the second night. There are walking tracks throughout, a gorgeous view point at the top of Rorys lookout and a lovely creek at the beginning of the campgrounds accessible for everyone to enjoy. The long drops were very clean and even stocked TP! Because of the weather (drizzly not rainy) the road was a bit slippery. I have a 4WD but not confident - i managed the track easily :) the property is so large and thankfully, the campsites are spread apart. Liz was so lovely making sure to check on me during the stay! We will be coming back but will try the other campsites next time

Long Paddock

Spacious country farm charm

Elizabeth was warm and welcoming. The property of rolling hills and bushland was just beautiful. Camp sites were of generous size and our neighbour campers felt far enough away that it felt quite private secluded. Driving through cattle and horses added to the charm of our camping experience. We look forward to returning.

Nice secluded site. Nice walks and available waterhole. Some of the signing is hard to spot your site and the reception is very patchy even with Telstra. Would recommend for some time alone! Elizabeth was friendly and responsive
