Singing Nail is a rustic cabin just off the beaten path of the main campground at the Santa Fe Tree House Camp  with plenty of privacy and easy access to walking trails to and through the National Forest. The one-room cabin is quaint and cozy with three options for getting a restful night's sleep in the wilderness (double bed and two single day beds). Cozy linens and blankets are provided.

The camp is located about 20 minutes from Museum Hill, 25 minutes from Meow Wolf, Old Town Santa Fe Plaza and just 15 minutes to delicious food at Harry's Roadhouse or Cafe Fina.  Tree House Camp includes 160 acres of land bordering the US Forest Service area. There are beautiful views and easy access to Shaggy Peak, the  southernmost tip of the Rocky Mountains and the Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range. Wander our land to enjoy a 20 minute hike to a creek in the forest or climb up Shaggy Peak (about 2-7 hours round trip hiking, depending on your activity level).

Your reservation includes access to the bath house with flush toilets, sinks and showers. You have a choice of using the  outdoor kitchen with a community fridge, stove, microwave, propane grill, blender, coffee makers, plates, bowls, cooking and eating utensils. Just a short walking distance away or cooking on your own propane stove on the back deck of the cabin.

NOTE: We are up a 2 mile dirt road and are not near public transportation so you will need your own vehicle, motorcycle, bike, or horse! Be aware that the roads can be snowy or muddy in early spring, late fall and winter. At those times of the year we recommend a car with front-wheel, all track or four-wheel drive and good traction tires.

Please add any additional guests 13 years and up to your reservation. (0-4 years old free, 5-12 years old 1/2 price, 13 and up normal fee. To pay the half priced child fee please notify me and plan to pay by cash or PayPal when you arrive.)

What amazing views!! The property borders public land and you wake up to views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range. The cabin is rustic, but comfortable. The furniture and linens are dated, but it's perfectly clean and comfortable. We loved our stay! The bathroom/shower building is a little bit of a trek from the cabin, but includes and toilet and multiple shower stalls (separate areas for men and women). Outside the bathroom cabin is a hot tub available for use. There also is a communal kitchen/dining building to share with other campers. The location also has multiple tree houses, communal spaces, and more on the property. The property originated as a kid's summer camp and they are revamping it to include more campers. The location is also incredibly convenient and not a far drive to Santa Fe! Bansi, our host, was incredibly helpful and offered advice with what to do with our short time in the city (we visited the art installation, Meow Wolf!). Overall, we had a great experience and will stay again when visiting the Santa Fe area!

I had the pleasure to stay for a couple of nights in the Singing Nail Cabin at the Santa Fe Tree House. I was the only guest in the camp that weekend and felt really lucky to have the camp almost all to myself. G, the camp host welcomed me and gave me tour of the property. I felt safe and enjoyed the cabin and I didn't miss a thing. In the afternoon of the second day we got the first snow storm of the season. It was beautiful, but I was not prepared. G and Neil helped me with my car and escorted me down the dirt road to make sure I make it down the mountain safely in the fresh snow. I am forever grateful for the hospitality. Would definitely return next time I am in Santa Fe!

Brad and Ciana were awesome hosts, and have an amazing property. The hot tub was an awesome end to a long day, and bed was comfortable, with new linens.
We will be back soon.
