Your private Yurt in the woods -2 miles to town! Come experience the Beauty of the Sierra foothills and the Yuba river in our Yurt tucked into the forest just 2 miles from downtown Nevada city. With a natural creek right outside your door and hiking trails right off the deck, this serene and beautiful yurt retreat awaits you. Claw foot bath tub, fire pit and large deck to relax on. Wood fired stove inside with plenty of wood stacked to keep you warm. Small functional kitchen with a hot plate, toaster oven, micro sink and fridge. We have a wood fired hot tub on-site. It requires a fire to be lit and maintained to keep it hot. During the winter the yurt is heated with a wood fired stove. It takes a few hours to warm up, and needs to be maintained during your stay to keep the place toasty. There is a lovely wood stove and plenty of firewood for you to use! The Queen bed has a heating blanket to help keep you cozy throughout the night. The hot tub Is wonderful in the winter, it is wood fired and takes several hours to heat as well.

Loved it.

It was a gorgeous and very peaceful stay. Very close to the neighbouring towns for cute shopping and good food. Loved everything about it.

Magical is correct.

The property is absolutely amazing and the site we stayed was beyond words. The pictures in the listing do it no justice. The effort out into this hideaway in the woods shows the love Nathan and his family have for their land. Every detail is thought out if they were going to be staying there. If you are looking for a serene oasis in the woods book with them you will not be disappointed. The bed was cozy and warm like being at home. There is an outdoor shower and the kitchen is everything you need. 5 stars for sure would give more though! Surprise visits by their dog Ollie and kitty were the chefs kiss to our weekend joy.

The land was so beautiful and rich with nature. Nathan’s dog was so friendly and even played with my dog often. Close to Nathan’s house, but never felt that close and we were never bothered. Hoping to come again soon.

Exploring in the land of Ferngully

Absolutely going again! We’ve been too many yurt trips and Airbnb trips and this knocks all of them out of the park! Absolutely gorgeous and done very well. We are going to try out the other yurt that is on the property as well. The dogs had an absolute blast exploring.

Magical Sanctuary

Such a beautiful place. We felt like we were in a magical rainforest. Our favorite thing to do was to take a nice little walk and explore several trails then afterwards soak in the hot barrel while listening to the streams of water. Nathan was such an amazing host. Any questions we had was answered promptly. This beautiful and spacious yurt comes with everything you need! We really appreciated the mini kitchen. It was nice to be able to cook a gourmet meal. The wood stove kept the yurt nice and cozy. Before arriving we had planned to take a trip to downtown and explore, but ended up not leaving the yurt. This place is that amazing. It puts you in a trance and compels you to stay and soak in Mother Nature’s love. We are already planning our next trip for this fall!

Magical Yurt in the woods - 2 miles

Me and my wife enjoyed the private setting with the sound of the river running, surrounding nature, and rain drops with our stay. There was plenty of firewood, cutlery, and other utensils to make our stay comfortable. We enjoyed sitting around the campfire and the wood stove inside the yurt kept it nice and toasty even after the fire had gone out. Would definitely recommend and would be happy to stay again.
