Located just down from the boat ramp at Eagle Valley Reservoir lies the Horsethief Gulch Campground, a well equipped place to park it for a week and explore Spring Valley State Park. From here you can access the large body of water for boating and fishing, and the surrounding rocky hills for hiking and wildlife viewing among the many activities. Why? Because some quality outdoor time spent in the wild west is always a good idea.

My wife and I love camping at Horsethief Gulgh. It is only a few hrs from where we live in Las Vegas. It is well kept up by the Rangers there. The fishing is usually good, you can rent a boat there if you don't have one and the hiking trails are ok. We try to go out there at least once a yr and have been going there for at least 15 yrs. I recommend it highly.
