Use a kettle to heat water for tea, coffee, or washing your hair in a galvanized basin. Tend a wood burning stove. Watch an immaculate sunrise flood the hillside while sipping a fresh cup of french-pressed coffee & listening to the birds sing. Sit around a crackling fire and be mesmerized by the pristine star canopy or stargaze through the skylight from the comfort of a lofted bed. Enjoy the cozy simple things in life. That's what Hygge (Hue-guh) is all about. Hike the rolling hills to take in the panoramic view and explore the intricate details of the lush trails that wind through the woods. Let the calm soak into your soul as you relax in a hammock, journal, draw or read a book. A respite from chaotic city life. We hope our little house will be a place of rest during your journey on the road or in life. You will be next to our permaculture food forest and another tiny house that is also rented on Airbnb. We are still updating our tiny house when we can so there's running water but only cold, the hot water isn't set up yet so you can use the kettle to warm water to wash your hair or take a rag bath. The heat source is a wood burning stove, so when the weather is cold you need to know how to use it safely and effectively.(we provide one free bundle but then it's $5 a bundle which is bigger than you will get at the store, it pays for the time, work and gas put into cutting down trees, cutting the logs, splitting the logs into fire wood, stacking and drying it. You can't use an electric heater, our electricity is not able to support that yet. There is a composting toilet. A mini-fridge, a cooking top with a pot and pan with cooking utensils. The oven doesn't work yet.You have your own fire pit where you can cook food and roast marshmallows to your hearts content. We may have other campers staying on the property so just be respectful of their stay and they are reminded to do the same for you. We love sharing our land with whoever God sends our way, we love to speak into people's lives and hearts with destiny, encouragement and truths so please feel free to chat with us. But if not that's ok, rest here, feel the love and just be.

Perfect place for getting acquainted with tiny house living! Very accommodating hosts who welcome a lifestyle of slowing down, and opening space for relaxation in the rolling hills of eastern Nebraska. The space was pleasantly spacious for tiny living, even a front porch for morning coffee talks. Plenty of land in the area for bike riding, hay bail stomping, sunset strolls, and star gazing. About 15 minutes away from Ponca State Park where we found a lovely picnic area to dip in the Missouri River. A pleasant weekend destination with surprising beauty all around you!

the bathroom is huge and the composting toilet situation is great and a fun experience!spacious interior!front porch is great for coffee and hangs!beautiful sunset spot

Oh my! I had the best time. It’s just as Des I ed to a “T”. It’s a sweet tiny house with just the perfect amount of rustic. The hosts couldn’t be nicer and I mean that sincerely. They helped fix my tire. Audrey is very reachable and they are super friendly but also know how to leave you in solitude. It’s a beautiful place it’s a perfect getaway from the city!!! I would definitely come back again!!!

We had an amazing time here! We were looking to get out of the city and spend a little quality time together and this was the perfect place for that! Just secluded enough, and still close to anything we would’ve needed. We loved walking through the fields and climbing the trees like kids! Audrey and John were great hosts, and even spent time teaching us all about their food forest. We will most definitely be back!

This is a great atmosphere. I love it there and this is my third trip. Audrey and her family are very welcoming and the cabin is like tent camping with air, a bed and running water. Perfect for a rustic get away.

This is taken from the road that runs in front of the house.
