Jodi was very kind and quick to respond via text. We weren't sure we could drive our minivan and vintage trailer into the meadow, and we didn't want to risk getting stuck so we went on our way.
We arrived to our site and our host, Jodi, gave us a tour of where we would be staying. Jodi owns a large piece of land, and we set up our tent in one of the extra fields she has. Prior to our trip I had been worried about mosquitos, but she mowed the area we were staying at and sprayed down the grass with insecticide. That, combined with our liberal use of bug spray, made the mosquitos nearly unnoticeable! We really enjoyed our stay here. It's a simple spot, but it's a good one. Specifically, the view from our site was gorgeous and the tent site was right next to a river. Although we car camped, the site was rather primitive so we definitely got the full camping experience. Jodi had provided us a fire ring down by the river, but we didn't get a chance to use it because the river had flooded recently and it was a little marshy where the fire pit was set up.
Site was in a beautiful and private location along the river and Jodi was responsive and helpful. The road through the pasture was a bit bumpy for my Prius, I would recommend this site to cars with a bit more clearance.
We arrived just in time to catch a breathtaking sunset - the site has beautiful views in all directions. We only stayed for one night, but had a lovely time and would definitely stay again in the future. Jodi was very friendly and it was really neat to be so close to the animals.
Hidden meadow was beautiful! It is an idyllic ranch. Jodi was great. We had to come in later than expected and she gave us detailed directions on how to get to the site via text. Our only regret is that we had to leave early and didn’t even get to meet her.
P.S. follow Jodi’s directions. We used Google Maps at first and it lead us to the next ranch over.
