Rachael and Jeff are great hosts! Beautiful piece of land, and great proximity to the lake. A short drive to Glacier. I would certainly stay there again! Sure beats an RV Park or KOA if you want to stay in the area!
Rachael and Jeff are stellar hosts! They’re kind, easy and quick communicators, and have a great sense of humor. The dogs are very sweet and one of them quickly befriended my small pup. The site is clean, easily accessible, and private. There are fire pits and a picnic table. Flathead Lake is within view and Glacier is a shirt drive away. We booked this when we were about 10 minutes away after having no luck with the neighboring public walk-up sites and had no issues finding the place and getting settled. Rachael responded within moments of my initial message and gave clear and easy directions to the site. I highly recommend!
The location is fabulous, the site is easy to find, and Rachael gave clear instructions. We were able to find a large flat spot for our tent near a fire ring and picnic table. We had our own water, so didn't need to use the pump, so I can't review ease of use there. The site was overgrown with lots of bees and flies around, and when another set of campers came to stay for the night we realized we had put our tent in the only large-ish cleared spot. I think given some love and maintenance this space could be spectacular. Easy striking distance to Glacier, a feeling of peace and seclusion, absolute quiet, and a fun view of Flathead lake down the road!
This is the perfect place to camp when you're visiting Flathead Lake, which you definitely should! The campsite is private but close to town, and only a five-ten minute drive from the lake. This is a peaceful place to stay, with beautiful views all around.
Secluded, quiet campsite just 10 min from the main road that goes to Glacier. Everything was as described. I highly recommend it.
A heads-up for those who are allergic to beestings: there were a lot of bees right around our campsite (around mid-August). One bee stung me, and I had a club for a hand for a couple days. Not a big deal, and I could have easily avoided it by being more attentive. But those who react more severely definitely should be careful from the get go.
The hosts were super friendly! My only downside was the insane amount of yellowjackets! Besides the bees, it was easy to find, breakfast was offered to us and the wildlife near them was gorgeous!
