Twelve quiet and private acres on former organic nursery site set among naturalized gardens, mixed prairie and woods; nearby small pond and tiny creek. Beautiful rustic timber frame cabin with one single bed in an exterior private bedroom (electric heat); one single and one double bed (woodstove/AC) in the main room; many nice spots for a tent. Amenities include outdoor water, composting toilet; wooden yoga platform, 3 sheltered outdoor spots for eating or relaxing. Outdoor cooking area with picnic table is perfect for your campstove; gas grill available. Microwave, small appliances and fridge in cabin. You provide your own quilts/comforters during Covid. One allowable spot for campfire, just a few steps west of the cabin. Fifteen minutes or less to Katy Trail, Big Muddy Wildlife Refuge, Franklin Island Conservation Area, Davisdale Conservation Area. Note: access may be compromised during severe snow/ice unless you have 4 wheel drive vehicle.
