Come stay in this amazing one of a kind shipping container in the heart of the Ozarks! This 20 foot shipping container has been decked out with cedar inside and out. It feels like a cozy country cabin in our suburban setting just minutes from downtown Rolla and MS&T University. It is located on the same lot as our house and suburban permaculture project (PermacultuRolla). Booking includes private outdoor bathroom with composting toilet and outdoor shower. Sleeping options include double bed below as well as a loft area with 2nd double bed as well.
Walk or bike downtown or to multiple local parks. Rolla's Ber Juan Park is just 3 blocks away (features 9 hole frisbee golf course, fitness Centre, Splash Zone, Tennis Courts, Playgrounds, Skate Park, Ballfields, and 2 mile walking/running course).
Many opportunities for recreation and leisure abound in the surrounding area including: Bray Nature Area (3 miles), Audubon Bird Park and Nature Center (2 miles), Mark Twain National Forest (7 miles). River access for floating, fishing, swimming on multiple rivers - Little Piney, Gasconade, Big Piney, Meremac, Current, Jacks Fork, Ozark National Scenic Riverways. Hiking, Biking, and other nature opportunities abound in the surrounding areas to Rolla.
Our Urban permaculture project includes: greenhouse, gardens, medicinal herbs, native flowers, fruit and nut trees, bees, rainwater collection, chickens, tiny home building, wood fired sauna (almost complete), and more.
