Camp Wiigwaas (wigwam)

Camp Wiigwass is a canvas wigwam sitting in the middle of 20 acres of pine and hardwood forest. The hosts, Sheila and Jeff live on the property in a log cabin with their two cats, Violet and Iris. The wigwam is furnished with two cots, two chairs, a small table and three LED lights. There is a deluxe pit toilet 25 feet away and a small fire pit. Two camp chairs are available and wood can be gathered or purchased from the hosts. This is the second campsite on our property. The first, The Crows’ Nest is very popular. There is a .8 of a mile hiking trail on the property. We are centrally located to many lakes and rivers. Kayaks are available to use, but we do not transport at this time. Local activities include: fishing at the Tittabawassee River, Pinconning Park beach and hiking trail on Saginaw Bay, Amish driving tour, The Fruitful Orchard bakery and cider, Dow Gardens in Midland and Midland City Forest for hiking and mountain biking. Most days deer and turkey can be seen foraging in the forest along with raccoons, fox and many songbirds. We love music and encourage you to bring your musical instruments.
