My fiance and I were looking for an affordable place to car camp on our trip to Traverse City and this was a perfect fit and was only a 30 min drive away. We didn't check in until after dark since we were out downtown fairly late which wasn't a problem at all for Roger and Laurissa. Directions were clear enough to find our way on the dirt country roads even at night. We just drove into the camp site and set up for the night which is tucked away in the woods. The bathroom was clean and close by. We didn't linger at night or in the morning but it seemed like a nice quiet spot in woods if you wanted to enjoy the scenery. Would recommend!
