What Big Head Farm offered to me was relaxation. It’s such a peaceful farm surrounded by blueberry crops and friendly farm animals. It wasn't hard to pitch the tent as the grass was smooth and there was trees around to also put up our hammock. They also provide a picnic table and bathroom which is always a big plus. This place had everything we needed, it’s in a good location not far from Lake Michigan and great restaurants. We enjoyed our stay here and had a great time with all the farm animals. Definitely recommend to everyone who wants a little piece of relaxation.

Pick Blueberries till your belly is full! Camping in Big Head Farm was so relaxing, her farm animals were some of the friendliest, especially her donkey named Cherry Pie :) Loves to be petted. Camping here was lovely, beautiful property, people and animals.

Beautiful, sprawling property and a wonderful host! Can't wait to stay again, pick more blueberries, hang out with the animals, and fall asleep to the sounds of nature. And all just minutes from downtown St. Joseph!! Perfect overnight experience.

It's a nice property on a working farm. You can camp most anywhere on the property but they have set up a few fire rings along with a picnic table near the primary farmhouse. That puts you in close proximity to the washroom which is a nice amenity. It is a working farm, so you should expect animal sounds to be in play. We were there in peak blueberry season which meant plenty of blueberries to enjoy - there is a farm stand where you can buy eggs, berries, and other items.

A great starting point for the great western road trip on which my daughter and I were embarking. Host was warm and welcoming and the farm was quiet and picturesque. We loved watching the sun set, had a great campfire staring at the he stars, and fell asleep to the sounds of crickets and trains in the distance. Bathroom with a flush toilet and shower was ok, though maybe not quite as clean as possible (but way better than an outhouse or pit toilet!). My daughter also loved feeding the animals in the morning, and I appreciated the fresh coffee. We would stay here again without hesitation!

From the open skies to the lush ground, everything about The Camp @ Big Head Farm is absolutely amazing! Karen is a wonderful, kind, welcoming host. The animals are glorious. And the stay is incredibly comfortable. As you camp you have a view of the berry fields, which is gorgeous at all times of the day. I couldn't be happier about the stay I had, definitely hope to be back soon!
