Over priced
Over priced. $65 per night includes tax. You still pay for showers, not even a battery powered light is offered. Sap dripping off interior wood on mattresses. VERY NOISY, highway traffic, neighbors dog barking. Creepy cameras in the Rec. Building. Huts with 1/2" gaps between the siding & door. (NOT mosquito free)

Don't come here if you need wifi or
I chose this host because of the availability of wifi as I had deadlines for work and school as well as hav8ng the ability to dial 911 from my cabin. I was recently dx with multiple heart aneurysm therefore needed my wifi. Wifi does NOT work at all, and in thir longe area it connects you then disconnects you after about 3 minutes. This host would not provide me with a refund even though I had to leave over the fact I had no ability to access 911 in an emergency. In addition this host said and did nothing g to quite their rowdy obnoxious group of men who were very loud well past quite hrs until almost 11pm waking my child twice. Consequently we were forced to leave and the host happily kept my money for the day and night I wasnt there. Do not come here if you depend on wifi or if your looking for quite. In addition the cabins and all the sites are right next to each other, and their bathroom offers no soap to wash your hands.

Well upon a arrival I was unaware of how close to the road this is and has heavy traffic at times as it is close to sugarloaf, which is great. But loud at the campsites at times. The facilities are very clean and showers are coin op. $1.75 got me a solid shower after hiking sugarloaf.
The ONLY problem I really have with my stay was the fact that the bathrooms had a sink and were very clean, BUT.... there was no hand soap to wash your hands after doing your business if you know what I mean and no paper towels to use after you rinsed your hands in the sink. Very strange to me not to have this amenity, and kinda gross that you touch the handle after you know someone else couldn't wash their hands properly either.
Other than that close to lots of activities in the area, but also know that the sites are a bit small and most won't accommodate a big tent.

Overall, we had a pretty good experience. Unfortunately, the sights seemed a closer to the others. It just didn’t feel as secluded as we expected. We ended up with the camp basically to ourselves. Which made it alright. The owner was very nice to my mother-in-law I did not personally meet him.

Great little campground!
I was visiting the Carrabassett Valley for the weekend, camping in a campervan with my husband & 8mo daughter. The campground is really well equipped with restrooms, showers, a kitchen/game/hangout area indoors & another great outdoor gathering place. The campsites themselves all have a fire ring & picnic table, small parking area & small tent site. The campsites are small & in close proximity to each other, but it wasn’t problematic at all for us as it wasn’t very busy & other campers were quiet & respectful.
Highly recommend a meal at the Gray Wolf Inn - good local flavor & homestyle cooking. Also recommend to call ahead for a reservation!

Great spot right off the highway! Perfect for a weekend night getaway and in a perfect spot to get a bunch of biking in.
