(level sites with fire pits. Two centralized picnic tables with grilling facilities, and a propane stove top in Harvey's Cabin. I provide firewood and water for free.) Sites: Bay Seal, Bald Eagle, Bantu, Big Moose Pond, and Bigfoot. Very private - no views to or from road, only the water - clothing-optional inquiries welcomed.  Very dark nights - great for star gazing. 20-foot tidal range, strong currents, great kayaking and boating - but be careful. Mid-tide and higher it's good swimming here, also a small spring fed pond to cool off in. Cell communication is good, tower 1.2 miles away - YouTube and smart phone hotspot work for me. Beautiful View, Nice Host, right near the public boat launch and state park, I recommend staying. Bring bug spray!

Great spot and nice host. Al was welcoming and offered tips for things to see in the area. The site was beautiful - overlooking the ocean (although not much water at low tide).

Very private and wild, bring plenty of bug spray for the mosquitos. Heard deer all night.

Al's place was quiet and peaceful and Al is a wonderful host. The location is great and central to a lot of good hiking and low key sight seeing. The privy is rustic which was ok for us but maybe not for everyone. We were thankful for a good first hip camp experience and a good social distancing Memorial day.

Al was super accommodating. Multiple sites available and the water views are great. Good location for a lot of area hiking. Outhouse and outdoor showering options. We appreciated the screened in shelter to get away from the black flies. Firewood and potable water were also provided.
We came early in the season and I think there are a few maintenance items that could be done but it sounds like the owner had plans for a lot of them. Outhouse was up the hill which not ideal in the middle of the night but it is camping.
Overall, it was a good experience. I would like to come back a little later in the season when black flies aren’t so prevalent. Like I said, Al was very accommodating and wanted to make sure we had a good experience. Price was cheaper than a lot of other area camp sites and he had more amenities.
