Ellie's is a new (May 2019) single RV site designed for use by your pull behind RV's or motorhome style recreational vehicles. Should you choose to book this site and use a vehicle that doesn't have a shower and toilet on board, you will not have access to a bathroom on site. The RV's pictured belong to past guests and are not available for rent.  Ellie's is located to allow easy access to both the Mount Desert Island section of Acadia and the Schoodic Peninsula section, the often forgotten about section of the Park, AKA the quiet part of Acadia. Oct 2020 update: Acadia is open including carriage trails for bikes and horses. You can purchase your park pass online and print it before you arrive. Reservations for Sand Beach or Cadillac Mtn are now required due to overcrowding.

Camp fires ARE allowed on this site unless the wind is blowing 10+ mph.

While Ellie's doesn't have direct water access, there are many shoreline points of access close by.

Beaches and water access are everywhere. Wide open space does exist. Come explore the Maine coast.

Commuter traffic can be seen and heard from Ellie's RV spot. In 2019 over 3.5 million people visited the Acadia area.

Tenting is not an option on this site, sorry.

The construction of a small post and beam cabin is taking place 9-5 near Ellie's RV spot. Privacy of guests is priority.

It was great having a private site. Kevin was very pleasant and welcoming. We will definitely book again.

Response from Julie, the Host, on May 23rd, 2020

Terry, Brian and canine Bella were a joy to host. They left the site clean and were very quiet, respectful. We would be happy to have them back anytime.

Kevin and Julie were very nice and accommodating! The site had everything as advertised. The only thing to note is that it is on a fairly busy main road with a good amount of traffic so wasn’t an ideal spot to be with kids.

Meg and Win and their young boys were nice first-time campers with a rented motorcoach. We enjoyed having them and would welcome them back anytime. While Ellie's RV spot does have easy access from a well travelled secondary road, it is Not on busy Route 3 to Acadia. Biking options for kids are found close by. We have trees for climbing, meadows for exploring, a fire pit and kids/children are always welcome.

Great site on the outskirts of Acadia/ Bar Harbor. Site is well done. Hooks ups are very nice. The host is very knowledgeable on surrounding area.

It is close to a busy road so prepare your kids and pets. Owner is putting up a fence to help.

Lovely spot! Great location near both Lamoine State Park and Acadia. Julie was a great host who checked in a few times over text, but respected our privacy. The site was easy to find, had plenty of space, and equipped with all essentials. In addition to hookups and garbage it had a table, chairs and umbrella, a fire pit with Adirondack chairs, a basketball hoop and basketball, and cornhole. I’d highly recommend!

Very friendly helpful owners. Owner and site were dog friendly. When a fence along the road gets put up it will improve the site immensely for even more privacy and will reduce traffic noise.

No neighbors, Corn hole, free firewood, B ball hoop. Not to far to Acadia National Park, Close to shopping in Ellsworth. Close to Lamoine Beach and State Park. Close to fairly noisy road but quiet enough at night, and we were off seeing the sights during the day. Great Basecamp to see the area. We would stay there again. Mark and Karla Tatum

Site was as described. It is close to the road but we knew that coming in. We were good with that and did not have any issues with our dog and road.

Hookups were easily accessible and site was immaculate! Close to Bar Harbor and hiking trails which was important to us!

Highly recommended!
