This campground offers a diverse range of 125 campsites, catering to all types of campers, (FHU back-in only based upon availability-reservation by phone only 574-753-4898) and easily accessible overnight/weekend pull-thru RV sites. For those who appreciate primitive camping, 4 of our primitive tent sites are riverfront. We also provide tent sites with modern amenities, including 30/50 amp services and water hookup. Our RV Park ensures a comfortable stay, featuring clean bathroom facilities, a camp office stocked with essentials like firewood and ice, two playgrounds, a basketball court, a refreshing swimming pool, and WiFi access at the main office. Tall Sycamore Campground is renowned for its excellent fishing opportunities,, beautiful eagles, and friendly camping community making it a perfect spot for both short getaways and extended stays. Please note that for the 2026 season, we currently do not offer full hookup (FHU) sites with sewer connections unless booked by calling 574-753-4898. However, all available RV sites provide water and 30/50 amp electric services, with a convenient dump station on-site for your use. For guests staying multiple days, we offer a 'honeywagon' service that operates once a week to empty your tanks for just $10.00 per service.

Nature, Trains & Tranquility - LOVE

Primitive

Our party of two had a wonderful primitive camping experience by the river. One of us absolutely loves trains, while the other is autistic and lives near active train tracks at home. So the sound of passing trains felt familiar and comforting rather than disruptive. The nearby rail lines quickly became part of the campground’s unique character. The river was beautiful, with gentle ripples reflecting the sunlight throughout the day. We enjoyed watching fish jump from the water and were delighted to see deer, chipmunks, water snakes, and an incredible variety of birds filling the woods with song. The natural setting was peaceful and relaxing. The campground itself is well-maintained, the manager is friendly, welcoming and helpful. Fellow campers were respectful. We especially appreciated that drivers observed the 5 mph speed limit, helping preserve the quiet atmosphere. There is also a nice wooded trail that is a little rugged in places, making it feel like a true outdoor adventure while still being accessible for a golf cart. Between the river, wildlife, friendly people, and the familiar rhythm of passing trains, we found this campground to be a charming and memorable place to unwind and reconnect with nature. I have already recommended my family and friends to stay here. So peaceful! Love. Love. Love. Thank you Wendy & Christy.

Awesome campground surrounding the river! They were very welcoming and friendly. Drove us to our site, gave us recommendations on some places to go, and checked in on us from time to time. They also are very community friendly they had raffles going on and at one point there was an ice cream vendor very sweet people all around and they do have a fishing area which was pretty nice but it did have a good amount of branches in the water so we definitely lost a few baits but the fish were definitely jumping either way I give it 10/10
