This land has been in the family for generations, and my husband and I wanted to getaway. A match made in heaven here! My grands planted pine trees here in the early 40s, there are hardwoods, wildflowers, herbs, weeds, deer, turkey... Someone saw a bear here back in the '90s. We're still talking about it. You can see the stars. You'd hear one if it fell :) PS. The land is now being logged so you might hear buzzing and the occasional tree fall. The big trucks go in and out 2-3x a day (kids love these trucks). They aren't all at this site. The loggers are locals and good guys!

Cave Run Pine Woods

This was honestly one of my favorite stops on our trip. Fall was in play, the pine trees smelled great and the temperature was right. I was greeted by the host and the dogs who got along with my dog super well! They ran and played and I was given a small tour. The woods has some nice clear spots to set up hammock, tents, tree tents etc. The woods is extremely large so I recommend leaving your dog on leash if you're unsure it will stay with you!
