The mirror lake cabin by the river, Is located just off of the little Elkhart river. You can canoe down to Jones, Steinberger or Waldron lakes (and More). But remember you are paddling upstream to get back to Camp. Or you can leave camp and paddle upstream. For a much more challenging trip, maneuvering threw the obstacles. The cabin is nestled in a 15 acre woods. With no neighbors insight. We may ride the horses or gator on the mowed trails. But other than that you are on your own.
There is a mowed campsite with trails and a small log cabin. In the cabin there are two futons for sleeping (now remember these are futons). They are better than the ground, but they are still futons. A small table, 2 chairs and some cabinets. We provide you with firewood, campfire ring and grate for cooking over the fire. There is a water shower bag provided and an out house for a bathroom. You will need to bring your own bedding and toiletries. Supply of water for drinking and doing dishes. Paper comes in handy!! Remember to bring your lanterns for lighting. And bring the bug spray too.
If getting back to nature is your thing this is the perfect spot for you. Birds, deer, fishing, canoeing or Kayaking, privacy, campfire, hiking and more.

The vibe at Mirror Lake Cabin by the river.
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
We were very pleased with the cabin. Kathy was as amazing as host as you could ask! The cabin was remote and private. Bugs were controllable with DEET and citronella. Since the river was extremely low (we couldn't kayak in it because it was too low), Kathy let us kayak in her lake instead and offered put-in locations near by. She is very knowledgeable of the surrounding areas and we will definitely be back to rent the cabins and the B&B in the future!!!
We had a great time way back in the woods. Private setting with alot of wild life around. We saw deer, blue heron, raccoon, frogs, turtles, tons of birds, a honey bee swarm, and giant osprey nests on property. We also had a great time canoeing in the river. Kathy was very kind and helpful. We would love to come back sometime.
