I spent 3 nights at the petite retreat and had a wonderful stay.

I arrived after dark and sturggled a little bit to find the property (just because it was dark) but if you just follow the road until it ends you will find it no problem . I was greeted by Sue's husband who had everything set up and ready for me complete with a premade fire. The tent is set up to the side of their house so it isnt as private as I had expected but it comes with many amenites that I imagine you wouldnt have if you were further away (electricity, wifi, close access to the house for restroom/shower) . Also the hosts and other guests repect your privacy as well so you are left alone unless you need anything.

At your site there is a composting toilet for your use or you can use the restroom in their home and also their shower if you prefer. I chose to add breakfast to my stay which was a nice treat for just $5 a day. You pick what time you like and are greated with fresh coffee, orange juice and whatever you requested for breakfast when you arrive in their kitchen (My choices were pancakes,waffles,oatmeal,eggs/bacon).

It rained during my stay and the tent leaked a small amount but the hosts were great about making sure I was dry and comfortable. Personally I found the rain against the tent soothing and was quite cozy with the heater and many warm blankets provided.

I spent my days hiking with my dog in nearby parks and trails and was always happy to return to the petite retreat to relax and would highly reccomend it. For the price ,amenities offered and hospitality it is simply unbeatable.
