Unique place to stay. Stopped for the night on the way to Bozeman. Horses and chickens and wild turkeys which roost overhead.
Beautiful, roomy, and comfortable space will all the amenities and unique personal touches that made the stay truly special! Host communication was top notch and we got a tour and useful local info on arrival. Well behaved dogs, peacocks, and a new colt were unexpected delightful bonuses!
The tent is right next to the main house on the property. It has power and wi-fi access even. There is a shower stall built onto a shed just behind the tent. It consists of a gravity shower that we didn’t use and a little potty on the shower floor that uses a garbage bag (full disclosure- first time we’ve ever used one but worked fine). There was a table beside it with a metal bucket and space to wash up. The biggest con was that there wasn’t any water provided on site which was fine because we had brought our own. Access to a spigot would have helped, but we were fine without it.
We were a full tent- 2 adults, 2 young kids and 2 old dogs. We moved the cots into the big tent so our kids could sleep with us in there (too young for their own tent). I’m so glad she had sleeping bags because our kids LOVED them and then we put our sleeping bags over them, because it was COLD! It got down to 40 degrees. I think we were the second to last booking before she’s closing up for the winter. Thankfully the bed had lots of comforters on it and was oh so cozy! Just getting out of bed was hard!
Claudia had to take off early so she said we could go into the horse pen by ourselves and see the horses closer. So I took the kids in thinking we’d watch from afar and we were so surprised how amazing and friendly these horses were! They saw us and all came over to say high. I have never had an experience like this and I will never forget it. I could have stayed with them all day. Wow, what kind a beautiful creatures. Truly magical and made this stop one I will forever cherish.
