This area is very hot and dry so be prepared to stay hydrated while staying here. We used rocks to hold our tent down and got caught in a sandstorm at night. There were more RV's than tents when we went but still had a overhead shelter that created some shade where we put our tent under. There wasn't any privacy besides space between campgrounds but everyone shares a beautiful view. I would suggest to pre-plan some recreational activities like horseback riding or boating to spend your time wisely while in the hot weather.
