Enjoy some spectacular sunsets over the lake at our secluded spacious grassy wooded waterfront site.  The camping site is barely visible from the road but super easy to pull in and park.  This year we have added 30 amp electrical service, water supply, a portable toilet, and a Weber charcoal grill. There is also firewood, a fire pit, some chairs and a table and a dock and canoe with paddles at this site for your use.

Bob Lake is a 90 acre no-wake lake with great fishing (Panfish, Largemouth Bass and Northern Pike) and there is a public boat landing on the west side of the lake if you want to bring your own boat or pontoon.

We have several Hipcamp sites all located along this dead-end road which are not visible from this site. We do ask that you stay within your campsite so our other campers also have privacy. If you would like to do some hiking or exploring see the information below about the Hickory Ridge Trail head located in the Chippewa County Forest.

Attention all guests!! You must maintain control of your dogs at all times. There are neighboring campsites and the township does have an 'animal at large ordinance'

NEARBY & THINGS TO DO

The Chippewa County Forest (16,000 acres) Hickory Ridge trail head is located only 5 minutes from our site and you are able to ride the road to this location with ATV's.  You can enjoy miles of hiking, biking, ATV or horseback riding trails. Trails wind past small lakes and beaver ponds, as well as spectacular vistas and abundant wild life.  Reach out to us if you enjoy hiking or biking and we will get you more details and maps!

WHAT IS AT THE SITE?

There is a canoe, paddles and 2 life jackets that will be available for use that is included with your site rental.   We have a small dock if you want to bring your own boat or paddle boards or if you would just like to sit and fish.  Don't forget your fishing poles!

We have a Weber charcoal grill, a fire ring, firewood and 4 chairs at the site and we ask that you do not burn any treated wood or trash/plastic in the fire ring.  Do not break branches or cut the trees.

WILDLIFE - BE AWARE

A pair of eagles are building a nest directly above the steps down to the lake and have been dropping a lot of sticks and twigs onto the steps, so be sure to clear the path for your safety.  We love the eagles being there so try not to disturb them.

A bear has made an appearance on some trail cameras north of our property and we have also seen him/her on the road coming back to the site so be careful to not leave any garbage outside.

We have also had a bobcat make an appearance near this site so again please be aware and do not leave pets unattended.

We have seen a doe and 2 fawns at the site and along the road coming back to the site so if you pull in slowly you might catch a glimpse of them.

Everything about this camp site great. It's definitely a private camp site, the whole time I was there we didn't see anyone beside a few cars that was driving by. It's spacious and right next to the lake. The stars was amazing at night. Saw a lot of shooting stars. Water and electricity is right on the site. I would come back here again and again.

Spacious and fairly secluded on a peaceful lake. We had a group of 8 stay (5 tents) and had plenty of space. We even had room to put up a 10x10 tent and back a truck rught up to it to have a nice dry oasis from the rain. Being able to cook on both the grill and on the fire made cooking for a large group much easier! I'm say the only negatives here are a lack of truly flat ground for puddle-free tent pitching in the rain and the fact that there's a Porta-potty instead of an outhouse. A decent amount of wood was provided, however it wasn't covered so it was fairly wet and we ended up buying firewood down the road. Overall a peaceful, quiet area to get away and enjoy nature and a great basecamp for biking around the Chippewa forest.

The campsite was private and beautiful, with easy access to the lake. The lake was calm and peaceful, never busy. Perfect for swimming and paddle boarding! It was perfect. My young kids had fun in the water and playing around the spacious site.

We had to run to the hardware store for an extra white drinking water hose to hook to our camper, we couldn’t quite get close enough with the fire pit where it was.

Unfortunately, it had rained for a couple days before we arrived and all the firewood on site was wet, even after trying to dry it in the sun. A cover for the firewood would be nice, in an attempt to keep it dry. Definitely BYO if rain is in the forecast before your trip!

The port-a-potty on site was definitely filling up and getting pretty gross, so tenters be prepared for that!

That being said, the campsite was so dreamy and still highly recommend for a peaceful site with lake access. Would definitely return!

I’m enchanted by this beautiful, spacious, quiet, private and nature lush lakeside campsite. With electricity and water we enjoyed all our creature comforts while we immersed ourselves in the pines and the lake.
I always want to see something new. I will return to this magic place to still myself and get truly present to the wonder of nature. The hosts are great too.

We had a little difficulty finding the camp but Brenda was very helpful. We pulled our little teardrop trailer on to the site that had a nice patio table and four chairs, firepit, water spigot and electric. A porta potty was on site, too. Take some steps down to the lake to find a sweet little dock and a canoe with paddles & life vests. It is the most serene place. We watched the sunset while a pair of loons serenaded us along with owls, coyotes and tree frogs. We can't wait to return to this magical little oasis.

Our spot was generous in size and it felt like we had the lake to ourselves. Beautiful sunsets!Another sunset. The only thing missing is the sound of the loons/owls/tree frogs calling. Wonderful. We paid for the spot that came with a canoe. We're so glad we did!
