This was an amazing place to stay! It’s so beautiful and peaceful! Cynthia was a wonderful host, the camp site was perfect. Cynthia thought of everything. It was my best HipCamp site ever. Seriously, really great.

Cynthia is super kind and welcoming. The land is beautiful and cared for tenderly. Lovely spot to camp and connect with land.
Calm, quiet spot at the edge of a beautiful prairie. Cynthia was clear about the site and its expectations and yet easy going and welcoming. We hope to come back soon! Oh— best dog ever.
Prairie View Camp is a beautiful Wisconsin haven! We really enjoyed our stay at Cynthia’s place - it had everything we needed for car camping and Cynthia was a fun and hospitable host. I would definitely stay here again!

Absolutely beautiful camp site and surrounding farm . We loved it! Millions of fireflies at night were magical. Thanks Cynthia!

Gorgeous and meaningful farmstead
Absolutely perfect stay on Cynthia's reconverted farm which is restoring prairie land on the high bluffs between the Mississippi and Chippewa rivers. We set our canvas tent inside a ring of young oak trees and in late evening watched the firefly show over the high grass, Yes, it all sounds idyllic because it is!! Embers the dog exercised our arm with balls and sticks to throw at her, and we especially loved the compost toilet and outdoors sink areas--simple, elegant, unapologetic. We inflated our bed and charged our phones at an outlet near the water pump, so really all amenities are covered! Turkey vultures and bald eagles skim the ridge for thermals, and the farmland (with names like Plum Creek and Bogus Lane) seems remarkably well kept, with healthy grasses and many-species trees along the dirt roads, and no signs of GMO-financed seeds...
Cynthia was a grand host and we can only sense all the stories accumulated in her trying, with many like of her neighbors, to bring a different balance between the needs of farming and better ecological equilibria. Within a few miles, there are several parks and sites that are comparable to some of the most picturesque places we've ever seen (from California to France). Maiden Rock Bluff State Park is one, but there's more amazing sites we won't even divulge... we will return not if but when. Deep gratefulness for Cynthia and Embers, and we encourage anyone serious about rebalancing farming and the environment to visit her soulful abode!

Thanks Christophe! It was great meeting you both, I hope to see you again.
I went to Prairie View Camp for a restorative few days in one of my favorite regions in the state. The drive there was scenic and the directions were spot on.
Cynthia’s created a wonderful retreat to share with us. The sites are situated overlooking the restored prairie and bordering woods. The amenities are creative and considerate.
I can’t wait to go back and enjoy those sunsets over the prairie.

Thanks Molly! It was a pleasure meeting you, hope to see you again!
